Ping interrupted?

Has anyone else had this happen?

Knox pinged me today and ran toward me, but Pierce was in the way and so he gave up? It wasn't very long since after he pinged me so it was weird.

Just save and quit. Knox should ping again.

Save and quit if he was pinging you to move out. If he wasn't moving out, you basically just got had by Pierce..

I know to save and quit to get pinged again if he wanted to move out, but I just felt it was weird Pierce stopped him, I'd never seen that before.

Sadly I saved and quit and he disappeared somewhere so I'll have to wait til later to see if that's what that was about, but Merry just pinged me yesterday to move and I've never been pinged for moving two days in a row.

When a villager pings me when I'm listening to a villager conversation, I try to go through the dialogue as fast as I could, but they always give up before I'm done.

Yeah the thing was I was coming over my bridge and Pierce was in between us, Knox ran up all excited, bumped into Pierce like under a second and then gave up and walked away. It wasn't like it went through the normal time it takes for them to give up.

That happened to me once before, where Rizzo pinged me, took 2 steps, then gave up and started walking the other way.

Lately I've been getting 2 moveout pings in a row. It's getting close to a year and I haven't lost anyone yet.

it happens if you wait too long. they give up for some reason, and things can block their way
like pierce usually is sort of behind my house. so he saw me from the corner AND GOT STUCK ON THE CORNER AND THEN COULDNT GET TO ME.

Recently, I was walking along and heard a ping. I stopped so they could come to me because I hadn't seen anybody anywhere. I waited but nobody came up to me, lol.

I've had this happen to me a couple of times. Usually I just mash the B button to speed up the conversation, but the villager who pinged will give up.
