His house, the instrument that plays when you talk to him, he's a clown, annoying, and he's a clown. Can you not see the dark aura that surrounds him? Behind that seemingly peaceful face is a evil sheep clown.

I think Pietro is fairly mild as far as clowns go.He's one of the few villagers that has a house that really matches his overall look.I'm glad he's a smug...they all seem to be a bit off to me but I happen to like that.

I think Pietro is slightly creepy yet cute. I don't like his lips but I love his colourful fur.

I think it's just down to taste. I hate clowns, but I loved Pietro (even though I did get bored of him eventually and let him leave... x'3)!

Fear of clowns goes well beyond the movie IT. The fear rarely has anything to do with that movie. There are a lot of different explanations for it, but I doubt anyone truly knows where it stems from.
Personally I thought Pietro was awesome when I first saw him. I have to say I first saw him from behind. He was all cute and rainbow-y. Then he turned around and that crazy clown face was just creepy. I tried to give him a chance anyway but I just couldn't stand that face. I had to let him go.
I've never considered myself to be afraid of clowns, but I have to say that the weird distorted faces created by the makeup have always been a bit creepy. Pietro would have been awesome if not for that face.

Pietro is adorable! My friend used to have him, and every time I went to their town I would visit his house and talk to him constantly. One day when he wasn't in his house, I ended up hunting him down in the museum!

I absoultely love him! He was part of my first 5 villagers, I thought he was a little odd-looking at first but he turned out to be really sweet. ^w^;

It may sound silly, but ever since I was a young kid, I had really bad social anxiety and was always afraid of being put in the spotlight. Anything like clowns, sitting on santa claus's lap, etc would freak me out so I always avoided it.

Heck yeah. I finally got her in my town and we're totally best friends.
It's because clowns only have one expression and it freaks the human brain out bc people are supposed to have a wide range of emotions.
I think he's cute - he's so colourful! My best friend had him in her town for a while and I used to chat with him all the time before he unexpectedly moved away. 
I can see why his appearance freaks people out though. I do find his house kind of creepy. Overall, I prefer Marshal.
