Picture Collecting

I was wondering if anyone can tell me roughly how long it takes them to get a villagers' picture?
I don't want to let anyone move out until I have their picture but I desperately want Canberra to leave.

How long must I suck up to her and pretend to be her friend?
Also does anyone have any tips?

Currently I:

- Spam talk until they shoo me away
- Send them mail with gifts
- Do their errands

Anything else I can do?

Since pictures are pretty random as long as you're on the proper tier of friendship, there's not much that can be done. I'd just suggest that when they ask for fruit, give them perfect fruit, and when they ask for furniture, give them customized furniture.
