So, I'm making a male second character for Tanpopo. More or less to hold all my dandelions. My mayor's name is Helena; Helena is a nickname that some friends gave me in middle school. It means "light." I'm trying to pick a good H name for this new character. So far, I've found: Hirsh (deer), Hart (deer/stag), Hartley (from the deer pasture), Hadden (child of the heather-filled valley), Holt/Hurst (a dweller in the wood), Hauk (wild hawk), Helaku (sunny day), Heller (the sun). I thought the last two could be cool, especially considering I was thinking of making them twins.

It's funny; Tanpopo hasn't had one sunny day yet. Just constant rain.

Eh? I thought Tanpopo was only a girl's name in Japan. You're not going to name your guy that right? I am a little confused. XD

I named my town that because I like how it sounds and because it means dandelion. :)
It did say it's a girl name though; what a cute name.
I know there's two spellings though and that kind of threw me. I hope I chose the right one?

Haha good. I'd be shocked if you named a boy that. XD

If name is typed just Tanpopo in English
I'm pretty sure its the same, Tanpopo as far as I know. If there is another spelling, I haven't heard of it (unless your meaning hiragana (たんぽぽ), katakana (タンポポ), or kanji (蒲公英)). I'm sure you have picked the right one.

If name is in Japanese
Unless you have a Japanese cart and your town name's in Japanese. If so, たんぽぽ would of been best. タンポポ is fine but, I find it more like used for a name, but it has no harm. It's all the same meaning, so no worries.
