Phrase glitch?

Has this happened to anyone else? Dotty is saying Flurry's phrase (powderpuff) instead of her phrase(wee one). This also happened on my previous town (same system and cartridge). Ava was saying Tangy's phrase. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a way to fix it?

it happens to everyone it's totally normal, they just swap catchphrases a lot from each other. they sometimes ping and ask you for a new one and you can change it back to the original one if you'd like (or a totally new one)

yes- its not a glitch. they are copycats and will adopt each other's phrases and clothing choices too...

darn I really wish villagers didnt copy phrases from one another! hopefully the new game will not allow villagers to do so!
