Really? I love Edgeworth, he's my second fave actually.

Spoiler: Why Edgeworth is a Jerk (spoilers!)

Well his dad (who was a defense attorney) was murdered in front of his own eyes. After that incident he has a hate for criminals and wants them to get a guilty verdict in court. That's why he gave up trying to be a defense attorney and instead became a prosecutor.

But actually, as the game progresses, he becomes less of a jerk.

I love this series so much. I play all the games in English and German. English text has more humor, though.
