So, because this has been a topic of a lot of discussion in my house recently, I wanted to see if yall ever had any of your pets have babies? I've had two red wag platy fish give birth over the year. One with a clutch of 9 in where we only have 1 left, and one with an unknown cluch we think was all eaten by our shark except for one remaining one, who isdoing just fine!. Tonight I also caught my two aquatic mystery snails mating so I'm really excited to see where that leads! I have no room for snail babies and have 0 clue how they work but hey, first time's a charm.

Also yeah, I haven't been over here in like 2 weeks and I come back with a post about fish babies. :/

Watch out, snails are hermaphrodites and breed like bunnies! You'll be crowded with snails in no time!

I've had a few litters of both kittens and puppies. Sadly. I say sadly because honestly the cats (my sister's) and the dogs (my mom's) should have been fixed because there are already SO MANY KITTENS AND PUPPIES THAT NEED HOMES IN SHELTERS! AND ON THE STREETS AND GETTING KILLED EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!

Honestly though I loved being able to play with and love on the babies but it still makes me really sad. Thankfully all of our babies went to good homes, but just... DON'T BREED YOUR ANIMALS, GET THEM FIXED OKAY?!?!

Actually, mystery snails have defined sexes! This I didn't realize at first, actually,,. Either way, I know they do breed like crazy and already have up to 200 eggs in one clutch, so I may either have to get another tank to seperate them or get rid of the eggs when they do breed. I'd love more babies but I couldn't handle that much :/

Aaa yeah all my other animals are rescues or live themselves so they can't breed! Though I had a friend who ended up having some rabbits that bred TWICE. They found most babies homes but lost a good few others :(

Oh yeah, I have had bunnies as well. When I was really little, we got a bunny that we initially thought was male, and then found out it was female we named her Bunnicula, and then we got a second bunny that we thought was also female when he bought it, named Snowball, and we didn't find out she was a he until Bunnicula started nesting... we had two sets of babies with them, and we kept 3 and got a separate bunny hutch for the boys and girls (correctly gendered) and the huge neighborhood we lived in adopted the rest of the baby buns. They were so sweet and cuddly, I miss having bunnies so much!

I know more about land snails than water snails. I have friends that keep regular snails and GALS (which I want so bad but they're illegal in the states T_T) and I know they have to constantly sift through the dirt to get all the eggs out to feed to their chickens so they don't get overrun, but still always miss a couple of them and keep getting MORE AND MORE snails. XD

One thing I really hope to get someday to "breed" so I can have a colony of them, is mourning geckos because they CLONE themselves and are all female. They seem really rad and I want a million of them.

I've bred dogs, cats, mice and axolotl.

KICKS DOWN DOORS. You've?? Bred?? Axolotls???? Those are like my 4th favorite animal. I bet those babies are adorable,,

I would love GALS as well but dang, they gotta be illegal out here. If I ever move outta country, I'm getting one and treating them like a big princess. Also with aquatic snails, I'm pretty sure nerite and a lot of kinds of pest snails are hermaphrodites, so I mean, just depends on the kind of snail that you get.

i wish. i have a pug and my sister wants to possibly have her have babies but we are not sure yet cause we also dont want her to be in pain during the pregnancy and birth process

Unfortunately Axolotl start eating their eggs as soon as they've done laying them.

You have to move them to another tank.

Never had mine mate. They're all fixed. But I love my boys. Once Ichabod tried to mount Roscoe in front of me and my fiance, and we all stared at each other weirdly before Ichabod slowly got off of Roscoe. Roscoe was just sitting there like: wtf is happening (both male cats)

When my mom got her male boston terrier as a puppy I got a kitten who was black and white and also a male, we wanted them to be able to grow up together, and that meant also living through their weird sexual adolescence and they'd mount each other all the time and share humping toys with each other... it was really awkward...
