Pete randomly in my town in the morning?

Has anyone seen Pete just in the morning when you start your game for the day? I thought he only shows up for the first day after you get your tent (I'm not that far into the game yet, just got 100% approval rating a few days ago)

He shows up everyday at around 9 AM and 5 PM to deliver the mail.

Pete is considered a special visitor. You'll see him walking around sometimes during the mail delivery time frames. You can chat with him.

I believe Pete will also talk to you at your house if your mailbox is full and he has more letters for you, to ask you to empty it.
