They must clearly be doing this for attention, after all animal crossing new horizons has a lot of players, many that enjoy the game. They just want more people to go on their hilarious articles. Let alone the boredom people have because of the corona virus. Peta has always represented themselves as a joke for criticizing games. They want to save the code in a video game but not the actual thing.

We all are, PETA has no excuse to be a bunch of dumb children running around and protesting a function in a video game that isn't even about a specific mechanic relative to the actual improvement of the game itself.

The video seemed way too comedic to be legitimate. Not trying to stand up for them or anything but if they were trying to come off as serious, they did a bad job. PETA doesn’t help us vegans look any better and it’s pretty embarrassing.

I can't understand why PETA would buy the game in the first place if they're so against it. Like, how is this proving their point?? Reading their tweets to "raid islands to free their fish" is absolutely crazy.
Then doesn't it make it extra petty to be getting all worked up and criticizing people over criticizing a game?
Tbh, I do agree that sport fishing and hunting is cruel. I still do it in games cuz it's a fun mechanic in games but I would never shoot an animal or fish in real life. I also think some of the tanks shown in game before you donate to the museum are small and I feel bad for the fishies lol.
