I've been visiting a few towns via the Dream Suite lately, and as fun as it is...

My god, why do people ruin their villagers' houses? Why do I enter homes where half the furniture is gone? Why are there random shirts and mismatched furniture items lying around? If you saw Julian had this ugly watermelon table sitting around where it didn't belong, you wouldn't just leave it there would you? Could you at least buy it off him, send him something to replace it... Something!?

And while we're at it, what is Julian wearing!? One of the original patterns on display in Ables Sisters? A random shirt they got from another villager? Or just something that doesn't match at all? No! That's... no! Send them something else to wear for Christ's sake!

One of the best looking towns could have some of these worst-looking villagers and villager homes. Villagers are pretty important to me, so it's a shame to see so many dream towns with little to no effort put into maintaining their villagers' homes. When people do put effort into keeping a villager's house looking decent, that's all good, but when they go the extra mile and decorate it differently is really awesome to me. I plan to do that with a lot of my villagers: replacing what they currently have with customized furniture. The end result looks awesome!

Do you have any pet peeves when you go to other's towns? And things you do like a lot too?

When trying to get my villagers pictures i've learned not to care about originality and that. My villagers probably have random furniture in their houses

Oh also when I'm in a trade and they tell me O can run I walk :p

I don't focus too much on that, I mean I do but I don't make a big deal out of it. Especially since not everyone knows you can change villagers furniture and clothing.

My pet peeve is too much stuff on the floor. I only do this with fossils (make money + donations) and trees and bushes when im redoing my town. But some towns do it on purpose. (Nintendo of America's town has a bunch of gyroids everywhere). It looks very messy.

i really care (perhaps too much?) about my villagers, what they wear and their homes. it is, however, sometimes unavoidable. they will sell, unbeknownst to me, their furniture at retail even when it's mostly filled up. or just take things down randomly and give them to me. even when i send it back, they won't put it up. whyyyyyyyyy~

clothes are another thing, i right away changed my custom designs up but somehow THE SHIRT FROM ANYTOWN decided to show up on felicity.

my personal pet peeves for towns are when i feel like i can't walk anywhere. bushes are awkwardly placed, patterns are randomly strewn, items are all over because they obviously ran out of storage. though i understand their town is probably a WIP.

Why do I enter homes where half the furniture is gone?
As a cycler, I get a lot of villagers from the 'void,' though Lopez was the first villager I got this way whose house was empty on the right side. In other words, having a hodgepodge of furniture is one thing, but this instance was notable because it was the first time where half the house seemed arranged the way someone would want it, but the other half had nothing.

But what annoys me is when I get villagers from the 'void' who show evidence that the mayor of the previous town they were in hated them. For instance, Eloise' catchphrase was changed to 'I'm stupid,' though there are examples I would even call vile that will not be shared here. I make sure to have Isabelle change this before letting a taker invite that villager to their town.

This point about making villagers say mean things relates to 'dream towns' because, though I only started making a habit of visiting them, I have already come across quite a few where mayors make their villagers say silly but unfunny, or even downright disgusting things.

That would be my peeve with dream towns so far.

there's only so far you can go with keeping villagers looking nice though

its why I keep my re-tail fully stocked with expensive flowers (so they wont buy and also cant sell), refuse to take/trade/buy/whatever their furniture that looks good with them, refuse to trade/sell/give furniture I think would look bad with them, and also only give them furniture that looks good if they request something new

shirts are too much of a pain to try to keep all villagers looking nice, so I just don't bother at all

I really hate when there are towns with just no paths at all. It just feels so bare, under developed and "messy" with random flowers scattered and what not ^^ I know many towns are WIP, but my friend doesn't really do much to her town, so whenever I visit I'm just so irked by it haha. I also hate when villagers have huge fossils or fish/bugs in their homes, ugh. This happened to me a few times and I hope they're rid of it soon.

There's nothing I hate or love in particular, except that I'm reallyyyy awkward when socializing with people using the chat feature...lol. I don't know what to say and gahlghasjrhg I'm worried I'll say the wrong thing or do something wrong and then AHH SHOULDN'T I BE MOVING AROUND SO THEY DON'T THINK I LEFT??? And then it's soo awkward when you're heading to a villager house behind the person and they're making sure you're not taking anything and ahh I said you could trust me why can't you?? But that part is kind of unfair because you can't really trust anyone you meet over the Internet, no matter how nice they might seem.
So I kinda tend to freak about that for some reason... u v u' I just feel like someone might judge me or something ahah...not that people will, but society is cruel and you gotta be prepared for the worst. ; n ;

I don't go into villagers homes when I'm dreaming.I guess it's just not a big deal to me.I'm too busy trying to make my town and houses perfect.I don't have time for villagers homes.

I can't stand dreaming of towns that have bushes between all the trees.I feel like I'm in a maze, and have to figure out how to get out of it.Having flowers all over willy nilly bugs me a bit too.I like them nicely organized. My biggest peeve is over cluttered houses. If the main room has too much stuff, and nothing really matches, I don't bother looking at the rest of the house.

I noticed when visiting my own villagers homes that they have started to look like crap so I have started sending them item sets for their houses haha

I don't mind how other towns look like when using Dream suite. I like visiting villagers houses and talking with them, but I don't care at all how they look like or what kind of shirts villagers in someone elses town wear. Tbh, I don't think I have the rights to judge someone elses towns haha.
I do care about villagers clothes in my own town though and I hate when they put on ugly shirts like the moldy shirt :D It's a good thing that changing villagers shirts is pretty easy.

I don't mind a villagers house not matching. Its eclectic ;P maybe. My Aurora and Buck's houses are very unoriginal. But I do not mind. Its not a pet peeve, just a preference, but I don't like fake pattern grass everywhere.

I give my villagers a lot of refurbished furniture, I feel like it makes their houses look better than their originals.

TEENY TINY PATHWAYS.

I visit some random dream towns, and honestly it seems like people have ONE PATH they use to get to anywhere, and getting off of it is close to impossible. I feel you. You don't want people running on things.

But if your ONLY path is literally one square wide and flanked by bushes- it's just too much. Cue the sound of me biffing into every plant.

I love towns that have themes. Idc how much work got put into them. One or two nicely placed PWPs is enough to keep me satisfied.

pet peeve is fake water tiles. like i realize so many people have fake rivers in their town and i don't want to offend anyone but they're just so obviously.. fake? they honestly make me cringe. like i've seen so many dream towns covered in the stuff and i'm so confused, it looks really weird :( also fake grass is annoying when it's literally EVERYWHERE, a few tiles is nice tho
