there are probably a ton of threads like this already so sorry about that

but does snyone else have an issue with having all villager personalities? i want all of them at some point but realised i don’t have any snooties, crankies or jocks at the moment. meanwhile i have three normals, which is one of my least favorite types, and two uchis... idk, i’m not looking for dreamies or anything at the moment, it just feels bland to not have a variety of personalities imo.

does anyone else struggle with this? what’s your opinion on balancing amounts of certain personalities, is it necessary?

I at one point had three normals and three lazies so I set out to fix that.
I just accepted whatever snooty and smug came to my campsite because i needed some variety. Finally added my dream jock Tybalt which I'm excited about.
But yeah, I'd like to have at least one of each at all times.

I like having one of each. The personality I'm picky about is Jock. I only like my starter and two eagles but I heavily prefer my starter back with his actual furniture. I'm hoping my next move out is one of doubles. I'm honestly probably going to settle for a jock unless I run into someone cute

I had 6 normals at one point and I fixed to where I only have 3 now I am saving NMT to get rid of one more but it’s so hard because normals are so cute :( I have Goldie, Merengue, and Daisy. I’d like to add a jock and sisterly to the mix because those are the ones I need. I think having a balance makes it less bland with the dialogue and keeps it more interesting.

I'm gonna try to get one of each personality once I'm able to remove some of my current villagers. Problem is that I don't really have any huge favorites from the lazy, snooty and peppy personalities so I'll just fill out those spots with decent enough villagers.

I could easily fill my island with just awesome normal, cranky and sisterly villagers but I really want the variety in dialogue.

I find it's better to have at least one of every villager, and then multiples of maybe the 1 or 2 personalities you like the best.
Personally I have everything but have 2 lazies and 2 normals atm!
The dialogue is a lot more interesting and varied that way. I think you also get different DIY's and reactions from different personalities!

atm im planning to get all the villager pictures (whether that'll happen or not we shall see) so im not too concerned about personalities since im not keeping any villagers, but once i settle with my dreamies i'd like to have one of each with the normal and lazy personalities each repeating once. i find that jocks and peppies i can only have one of bc theyre just so out there and extra u know? smugs i just cannot stand in this game so i'd like to only have one. snooties, uchis, and crankies r kinda meh but id still like to only have 1 of each. normals r just kinda blandly cute in a way that having more than 1 isn't so terrible and i just love the lazy personality so much in this game lol i like that they talk to bugs.

I'd definitely love to have all the personality types on my Island.
I'm currently missing a jock so I'm not able to unlock some of the jock reactions.
Also, having 3 lazies is a bit of an overkill.
I wish we had more villagers slots on the Island tbh because then I'd feel less pressured to gift them wrapped presents daily and chat to them constantly as the dialogue can get a bit stale if you're talking to villagers of the same personalty over and over.
I'd recommend having all personalizes with two double-ones. Choose the doubles either on personalty traits or the design of the villagers.

i have one of each except uchi. cherry was on my island for a while but i swapped her out eventually. i wish there were more uchi types, i don’t really feel strongly about any of them lol

I have least one of each personality on my island, and I did it intentionally so that I could be sure to get all the reactions/DIYs from each one.

I do have two smugs and two normals, which are both personalities that I like a lot. Both villagers of each personality are a big favorite of mine so I'm okay with having them!

I like to have a variety of the personality types, I've always tried to keep one villager of each type around all the time. I've started thinking about how the villagers interact with each other more than anything. I just invited Grandpa Dobie to my island, and I don't want a peppy villager to be his neighbor keeping him up listening to KK Bubblegum all throughout the night - ya know?

I like to have at least one of each for variety. I've currently got 2 normals and I'll have 2 crankies (possibly temporarily) once Static's moved in tomorrow.

I've really struggled finding an uchi I like this time. I love the personality but I don't like the designs this time round. I've got Plucky at the moment and she's very slowly growing on me. I'm determined to have one!

Yeah, I always have to have all of them because that seems to be kinda the point to me. Get one of everything.

Totally on the same boat!

Right now I have some dupe personalities on my island and missing an Uchi. Like some others have mentioned, I don't really like any of the uchis.. although it's a struggle since I need the DIYs and the reactions they give. I might invite an uchi for the time being and eventually move them out for my last dreamie.

I've got 2 crankies, 2 lazies, 2 normals, 1 uchi, 1 peppy, 1 snooty, 1 smug.
so far, normals are the ones that are veeeery very similiar, and this makes me sad bc coco is a great char.
i think that 2 are the max bearable quantity of each char, because they're veeery similiar and thus repetitive.

I like to have one of each to keep the dialogue different. I can’t stand how repetitive it gets after a while. Though, it makes me sad because I love so many normals, but their dialogue is just too similar!

I prioritized having every personality from the beginning. I had mostly random move ins at firstd but I did go island hopping to ensure I could grab personality types that I needed. So ever since the beginning, I had every personality type. And every time a villager leaves, I make sure their replacement is the same personality. Currently, I have 2 normals and 2 lazies so if one of those leave, I'll let the move in be random :)

I’m missing an Uchi atm, it’s just tough for me to balance villagers I want and keeping all personality types on your island, when there is only 10 slots available.
