Last night I cycled 4 villagers out in the spawn of 2 Ig months. And I had 6 campers, today too one ( on my actual synced day). Perhaps the odds have gotten higher?
that's good if so. me & my friend were just talking about nintendo lowering it so people buy amiibos, but i mean they're not earning anything from those ebay resellers and if anything people are making their own (i'm sure they're aware of that). and i don't think they'll be restocking it anytime soon until covid is over, so yeah good if they adjusted it. in hindsight, even if you played for a 2-3 years (knowing that people tt and still barely meet villagers) the chances of meeting even HALF of the villagers there is very little. so adjusting it is necessary imo.
there's also a possibility of them adding new villagers by batches once they release amiibos. like, think of pocket camp & the slow roll out of villagers. it could be the reason why they only introduced 8 so far. comparing it to acnl, that's sooo little. in a year we could have even more villagers.
I'm pretty sure it got adjusted, as pre-update I swear I went through a whole calendar year and didn't get a SINGLE campsite villager. But post-update, I'm getting a consistent flow of visitors!
Yes, the mere fact that I get campers frequently now (like one every week or every 10 days) even if I have 10 villagers means the odds have gotten higher. I barely get any camper previously and it could go as long as 2 or more months without one.
Back then, I could only get campers on a consistent basis using my side island if I haven't put down the plots yet or when the island isn't full yet.
It's pretty easy to do the campsite reset trick now, regardless. I was probably one of the first people to do it so I noticed the difference.
I haven't noticed but I do really hope this is true and that they boosted it. I've been saying for a while now that it seems like the campsite is mostly meant to be used for amiibos, but that at the same time that makes little sense considering the fact that they force you to build the campsite and won't let you demolish it (so it should be getting more use rather than less imo) and they haven't reprinted amiibo cards outside of Japan afaik.
I haven’t had one since the first mandatory one. I think campers are useless unless you have an empty plot. I wouldn’t want to risk randomly losing one of my favorite islanders...
To those that have not had campers, are you guys using Amiibos to force a camper in? or are you saying that ever since the first mandatory one, you've never had any other campers since, including Amiibos, so it's just empty all the time?
