I went to collect perfect fruit and noticed that several perfect trees reverted to normal trees for some reason.

Somebody also got that problem?

When a tree is revived using fertiliser, it just turns into a regular tree.. That is the only explanation.. Maybe you only just noticed it recently?

Wow, I didn't even know that was possible. Don't think this knowledge will ever be of any use to me but I'm still glad I learned something today lol

What do you mean? Perfect fruit trees turn back to regular fruit trees after 7 shakes (if i remember correctly), if that's what you mean.

Did they change this in the update? It used to be 3 shakes and the perfect tree became a dead tree -- I'll be super bummed if I can't make dead trees for halloween anymore!

The perfect fruit you're planting is your town fruit, right? You probably know this already, but any perfect fruit planted that isn't the fruit of your town will turn in to regular trees; for example, because my fruit is the peach, I can only have perfect peach trees.

Actually apples are native of Acme and the revived Perfect Apple Tree reverted to regular trees.
I never saw it happen before since I keept having harvest of perfect apples for example.

If there is no other way then I'll have to just cut the dead trees and plant new ones despite the fact they may call me stump maker.

I think the use of fertiliser to revive dead fruit trees was brought in with the update, but not 100% sure as I never tried prior to it.

If you had a dead perfect fruit tree in your town when you did the update then Leif sent a letter to all your characters with a bag of fertiliser and (I think) the message you could use it to revive a dead perfect fruit tree. I think but again not sure that it was a one off letter.

But to every players disgust if you used the fertiliser on a dead tree it only gave you a normal tree in its stead.
So I just keep to the old way, when my perfect fruit trees die, replant with a perfect fruit & keep my fertiliser for hybrid growing.

That's added with the update, but it's strange that before all revived perfect trees which died continued giving perfect apples after being revived.

I noticed that issue when I saw a regular tree in the middle of the perfect trees which I planted next to the mayor's house in Acme.

Being called stump maker is annoying since I remove the stump right after cutting down the dead trees.

Ah, well it's good to know that revived perfect trees will only become regular trees. I'm glad I found out!
