this would happen once every couple of weeks, so it's not much of a surprise when it happens anymore - one day my drawing pad's pen will start having sensitivity issues. it would require much more pressure than necessary to get the pen to work and click around, which is quite a nuisance. this happened again on saturday, and it usually only lasts a couple of hours, but it's been three days and the pen hasn't gone back to normal yet. i tried looking for the settings to fix this, but i can't seem to find it

Well, what tablet are you using?

If you are using a Surface, you might have to replace the battery.

Try this:

Unplug your tablet
Turn off your drawing program
CTRL+R
Services.msc
Find your Wacom driver
Reset it
Check the sensitivity

i tried out everyone's advice, but none of them seemed to work. i'm working on a new drawing with sai, but sketching and everything is really difficult when i have to press harder than i should to get the brush working. are there any other possible solutions to this?

What kind of tablet are you using?

I used to have a "drawing pad" before I had my wacom, and they both handled sensitivity very differently. (The drawing pad's pen nib physically recedes into the pen, while the wacom handles it from the pad I believe).

Well, one day I dropped my pen, and it started giving me similar problems to what you have now. So that brings up a few possibilities: is your pen low on battery, or have you possibly damaged it recently? (They're very delicate)

i don't think my pen uses a battery - if it does then i'm not sure what to do about it. i don't recall damaging my pen either, i keep it on my desk every day and i don't do anything too brutal to it

Okay yeah it's a bamboo (missed that first post), it shouldn't be running on a battery.

Aight so, so far you've restarted the driver, updated the driver.

You sure it's the tablet and not the program? Check the density settings in SAI and see if they're high enough.

This is my go-to for that problem as well. Sometimes I have to do it a few times for it to work, or even Stop + Start the service rather than restart it.
Also have you checked your Wacom Preferences?

yeah, i'm sure it's the tablet. i use my pen as a replacement for my mouse, so my tablet is used for pretty much everything else on my computer
