I've recently figured out that the bottom most one in the inventory page is the newest one (it's in reverse order on there for some reason! xD). Hope this helps!

They are alphabetical order, but in the "clusters" of the same collectible on the inventory page, the bottom-most one in the "cluster" is the newest one. EDIT: Actually, the current one not hidden on your profile is the one to send back!
