This is not for Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door, Super Paper Mario, Paper Mario Sticker Star, or Paper Mario Color Splash.
I see this game get very little love compared to the other games. This game was just great so it deserves more love.

general guy needs to return

Compared to TTYD. I feel like the animations looked and felt faster, plus the art and way Mario looked added to the charm. Not only that, but it had more challenging superbosses~

I know right? Paper Mario 64 is a fantastic game. Everyone always goes on and on about TTYD (which is also a great game) and not many people mention Paper Mario 64.

Yep. I got it on my Wii U but haven't played it that much, which is a sin.

Paper Mario 64 is amazing.

Beating Anti Guy for the first time was such an accomplishment.

I have yet to do the three-anti guy battle

I used to play Paper Mario 64 when I was just a little kid. I remember not getting far at all, but still loving it.

Now I have it on the Wii U, and WOW BLAST FROM THE PAST. It's a lot more challenging then I thought and I'm having a whale of a time progressing through it. :)

I really love the first Paper Mario. It did such a great job of capturing a sort of "storybook" quality (paper pun not intended) that just made it so charming and memorable. Everywhere you go is just such a treat to explore and all the characters are just so adorable. That real "warm-and-fuzzy" feeling, y'know?

I think my favorite part was Shy Guy's Toybox. Riding the train around, fighting the Anti-Guy, seeing Gourmet Guy for the first time... great stuff. Flower Fields and the Crystal Palace were both excellent, too.

While I really love the sequel, I feel like the first game's design and narrative made more sense for the "paper" aesthetic. Just my opinion, of course.

the first Paper Mario is one of my top 3 fave games!
I've played it more times than I can remember... ;v; I just. I used to play it a lot. like, a lot. I can beat it in like, 8 hours.
I love TTYD a ton also, but I have many more memories with the first game. and it's got a lot of charm. also Goombario is still my fave...
