I've been playing this game for 2+ years so I really don't need Cheri and Zucker telling me within 10minutes of each other that if I hit a rock, money might come out! Or that if I need more room, I can stack my fruit! I honestly think the tutorial dialogue options should only be made available once per game file, right at the beginning When you start and then never again.

Anything your villagers say that particularly grinds your gears?

Really Lily?! Tell me more!

I agree, although it might be a good idea to leave it in for secondhand games, if the new owner doesn't delete your file but doesn't know anything. I'm wondering if they do recognize new systems, though, since I got the camera tutorial twice in a row when I switched to my New 3DS.

Otherwise, I really wish they would stick with their catchphrases and greetings for longer. Changing them is a pain, and I think not doing it might affect your friendship with the villager, since Walker walked away unhappy when I told him I didn't want to come up with a greeting.

Yah! And some of the dialogue options leave you in a real pickle. Cheri ran up to me saying another villager said her catchphrase was too boring and asked if I agreed, I thought it would be mean to agree since Cheri was clearly upset, but telling her it's fine the way it is also didn't seem like a positive response >___<

I still don't like it if my villager talks about their old mayor ;-; It makes me sad

I always love this! I think it's so nice, I also love that villagers I've sent off to new homes will occasionally mention me or Cerulean

I had two peppy villagers in my town for a while and I usually make a point of talking to my villagers a lot and the whole 'Have you been CLONED? Ohmigosh, I hope I'm friends with ALL of you!!!' got very old very quickly. They'd just say it... all the time...

It's not the villagers repetitive dialogue which gets to me, it's the shopkeepers repetitive dialogue.

I KNOW HOW TO USE WRAPPING PAPER TIMMY!

If I have QR codes explained to me one more time I'm probably going to freak out. I was switching over paths this morning and I'm like OK. I KNOW. You just told me the same thing literally 8 times in a row! YES I'M SURE YES IT'S OK.

Haha definitely! I love wrapping gifts before giving them to friends and it's especially tedious when I have many to send.

Any long dialogue when I'm in a hurry, but it doesn't bother me too much. Mostly the wrapping paper one since you buy them one at a time.

Normal villagers: "Honestly, how does my outfit look today?" (I love Merengue but she asks me that every other time I talk to her)

Also, whenever a villager talks about how rumors can be frightening. They really seem to rarely have anything else to talk about :(

Blathers: "The _____! It reminds me vaguely of when I was a chick in my mother's nest..."
Blathers must have owned an entire zoo when he was a baby? How do whale sharks and horned atlases and every single type of bug or fish in the game all remind him of his childhood?

To be fair, the rumor dialogue only comes up if no one's planning on moving (though it's best to make sure you get the rumor dialogue from at least two different villagers who are outside just in case the mover is the one to say it.)

Anyways, yeah. All of this dialogue is sooo repetitive. I dislike that they continue to say tutorial-type things for ALL eternity. I do wish there was a moment in time when that was capped off for each resident you make. I also dislike that loooong dialogue smug villagers have about trains. You can't back out of it! Just! Smash A until it's over...SIGHS/ Really I feel like there's so little variety in the things each personality type talks about. They all seem about the same.

I hate talking with Cryus he's annoying and condescending! Also I don't like waking up the owls because it takes so long. Seriously I wish we had a "shorten dialog" option bc omg I hate being greeted every time I open a door and all that. I just want to go to Reese, sell my things, and leave! lol!

i hate it when my villagers tell me
-something about their past towns
-humming their past town's tune
-tips on the game
-that they dreamed of their past mayor appearing in their dreams
-tell me about their outfits (like seriously, you've been wearing it everyday and you're talking like it's your new clothes)

AH I also hate this villager dialogue, even if it was the first time playing it's pretty easy to pick up on how to do things with trial and error; it's very annoying to hear it repeated after playing so long. >.<

I also hate how EVERYTIME I buy wrapping paper or a tool I have to listen to Tom Nook ask if I know how to use it. -_-
