Overused town names?

Astoria is a relatively famous music venue here in the UK, in London.

Otherwise I'm not sure other than the ones already mentioned, but I imagine actual place names in real life and from video games are going to be used much more than ordinary nouns.

A better topic would be a town names rarely used. Everything has been done a million times.
You must realize that there are endless possibilities to that, right?

Every time a town is named Hyrule, god kills a kitten. Please think of the kittens.

Anything Japanese or "cute."

Sakura, Mochi, Macaroon, etc.

If you see a town named anything like that, expect a pink or pastel town.

Aw man, lol. My mayor's name is Tiki, and I was going to name my town Strawberry (in reference to my art business name, "StrawberryTiki") but the name didn't fit so I had to settle with Ichigo (which means "strawberry").

The most common one I've seen is Hyrule.

I started to hate the name Hyrule because everywhere I go I see that name. Can't people change it to Lowrule or something for once?

I actually really like a lot of the common town names. The only thing that really bothers me is when a town name is a made up word. It makes it way too hard to figure out where I'm going on wifi.

I thought my town name was unique....until I went to the dream suite and searched for towns with the same name. Found out that there are like 7 or 8 Zoovilles. DX
