The currency exchange in this forums is 1 TBT = 200k IGB. Well, it kinda makes the game feel easy. Here are some examples:
Uhhh man, I need to make Bells, need to go to the island, catch bugs... Spend 30 mins on the island daily because I need to get rich... But I am too lazy...
*signs up for TBT*
Uhh... Here it says one TBT is 200k... I know! I will just post random stuff on a thread twice a day! Easiest way to get rich!
Other example:
My home loan is freaking GYNORMOUS. I will never be able to afford it...
*signs up for TBT*
Uhh, wow! 200k for one TBT? Well, looks like I will just have to post some stuff here! Home loan is going to be gonne in no time!
Another example:
Seriously, the GracieGrace stuff is just too pricy. I will have to farm bugs in the island for many days just to get a set of furniture.
*signs up for TBT*
So... 200k is one TBT? Great! I will just have to post a thread about something and I will get enough for this season's set!
I am not asking to put down the value of TBT currency, but I am just saying that is kind of odd...
Also, I know TBT is to buy collectibles or Shiny Pok?mon , but seriously. Who even cares about that crap. Villager trading and buying DLC is the only real value of the currency besides getting IGB, in my opinion.
Keep in mind, this is only my opinion. Even though it is my sealed destiny to get crucified by absolutely everyone that reads this.

Who cares if people buy their bells easily? There are enough people who hack their bells, this forum is used to buy rare items and villagers - let people pay up their house loans and then put the bells back into the system by buying stuff here.

I mean, when I created my account all my house loans were paid and I've never converted TBT into IGB despite having bought many Gracie sets. So that's not an issue for me. I use TBT for villagers and hard-to-get items, just as many people use TBT to buy collectibles or shiny Pok?mon. Because believe it or not, there's people out there who don't consider those things "crap".

I don't find making IGB a hard process in New Leaf, it's just tedious. I don't have time to go to the island for about an hour everyday at night time and catch beetles there. So the TBT method is convenient, not necesarily easier, because the original process wasn't hard in the first place.

No one is forcing you to use the TBT in-game. If someone wants to do so, it's their game. Animal Crossing is designed to be played however each one wants to play it. You want to spend an hour every day catching beetles and earning bells "the hard way"? No one's stopping you. You want to use TBT to get bells? No one is stopping you.

It does make the game easier, but I feel like it makes people (especially new players) want to play more. Constant grinding to get what you need in a game can make it a lot less enjoyable.

first off, i care about collectibles.

secondly, during my time here, i've never once exchanged tbt for igb or vise versa. i don't think i've even used tbt to buy acnl items or villagers or whatnot. but let people play the game how they want. people are gonna hack. people are gonna time travel. people will use tbt to their advantage. its none of your concern, really.

I care about the "crap" you call Pokemon and Collectibles .-.

Just as I knew. Sealed destiny to get absolutely wrecked by the community lol xD

It is just a opinion lol. Well, here is my point about collectibles.
You buy them off the store, all nice and dandy.... Right. What is it gonna do? Just... Stand there below your profile. Just... That. Seriously... Just that?

I think the game is about having the most fun possible, so if spending TBT makes people happy, I'm all for it!

As for collectibles and shiny Pokemon, I actually probably will totally get into getting shiny Pokemon once I finish getting my dreamies, and the collectibles, while they don't do anything, can still be aesthetically pleasing, so I don't get what the problem is.

It's not just about the game. This website is a community and microcosm too. The collectibles are like a game in itself. We pursue items in the game and on here, too. It's also a bit of a status symbol/medal of honor with how active and for how long you've been here.

I bought a lump sum of some IGB from this site a good while ago, but even before that a lot of people do duping so they would still cheat even back before this site, it was kind of silly. I used it for my loans and stuff, and I still have a bit of it now two towns later and I use it for things I need, but I still farm for bugs and plant hella perfect trees and go around shaking my trees each day, I think it's about how you want to play the game, because sure it's easy to cheat, but some people rather have instant gratification and that's ok too. I still plan on buying some more IGB to get the money badge and then I'll honestly probably give a lot of it away.

It's really not. I signed up over a year ago, visit the forums just about every day, and have nothing. Nor am I interested in them. I see people all the time who have several of them and joined months after me. lol

Agreed, since I have joined this forum I have been online for attest 2-4 hours a day and post 20+ posts everyday. I don't really care about collectables. I'd personally judge it by how long they have been on the forums, how regular you see them post and how many posts they have.
