I hate to say this since I haven't seen or read it, but TFIOS? I mean, I'm sure it's great and touching, and all that, but the amount of hype it gets/got seems a little...out of proportion.

I was in the same boat as you until I saw it and, guess what, we were right. I completely forgot about this movie when I made my original post, but you've reminded me now lol.

TFiOS isn't bad, but it's not as great as everyone makes it out to be. The movie was pretty mediocre to me, and I found it really hard to care about the characters, even though I felt bad for their situations. Idk I just don't get the hype surrounding John Green. I also read part of Looking for Alaska, and while I didn't read the whole thing, the excerpt I did read made the book sound hilariously bad.

Seconded. Didn't mind Anchorman... but a lot of those "Popular Comedies" aren't all that funny imo.

Really? Ok, I sorta wanted to prove myself wrong XD But yeah, this is what I suspected. I watched a lot of John Green's crash course videos, and from someone who can cover such diverse subjects I never got the "good author" vibe from.
It's probably the hype around him that also kills it.

Cas is the best :3 It's impossible to hate him. I just hate how sloppy the story is now DX

Omfg I forgot SnK. It wasn't that bad at first, I have to say that. Half of it's fandom is seriously all for ****s n giggles but the other half is so serious.

The Walking Dead. The first season was amazing, up until the last episode. The comics are great, but the show is just a bunch of teases that can pay off very nicely, but rarely do.
