My landscaping looks too organized, like bushes and trees are lining my path and I have too much path and it's just looks ugh. I also have too many fruit trees and not enough regular trees and it just looks gross. So that means it will probably take a lot longer for me to get a DA. I don't know why I made a thread announcing this but I did because it's me.

But I could use some suggestions on what I could do to make it less organized and all of that. I actually think Ossipri has a forest type feel I realized that after I started landscaping.

I'd say look at some forest dream addresses for inspiration. that is what I did. try to make it organic. stepping stones or dirt paths are good as well.

I might do that. That's one of the reasons I decided to re landscaping. Looking at some dreams addresses and seeing how some towns look more random instead of organized.

This brings me to my next question: should I break my vow to buy bush starts and tree saplings from people? I mean, it's going to take forever if I don't. But on the other hand, I do have a vow but it's not a vow I HAVE to stick with. There are people on here who are taking the same vow as me and are inspired by the vow and I don't want them to feel like I'm going back on my vow or something. Also, I said, 'vow' too many times in there.

What it looks like now

I'll take some screenshots and share them.

Honestly, I think you could go back on your vow if you want to. Personally, I would rough it out, but if you plan on hardcore landscaping, I'd definitely consider buying sapling and starts with TBT...

That's true. I mean, I'm not in any kind of hurry. And it's a vow I made to myself, so the only person to be affected if it's broken is me lol. I'll see how it goes first then give it some thought on whether I want to break my vow or not.

With my one town...I bought two bush starts and a sapling each day. It took forever to the point where I just went to the island to do tours and use all my medals on the island starts. It's a huge pain, because it's not always guaranteed that the start is going to take.

There's lots of things to take into consideration and you've probably noticed all of those things, as you've mentioned having bushes already.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the island tours. And it's true. When you wait time planting something and the darn thing don't grow.

You know, it's a good thing I decided to relandscape because I was starting to get bored with Ossipri and I think re-landscaping and making it look fresh is going to keep me from resetting, something I do NOT want to do.

So here's how it looks now. See what I'm talking about with trees lining the path and looking too organized?

This (below) is the worst culprit

you may not even have to redo it all. just replace some fruit trees with normal ones and roughen it up a bit and make the trees more random.

Agreed, I don't think you need to start from scratch. You could make your paths more uneven, plant clovers/mushrooms, or plant a few flowers throughout the paths unless you'll always be running through them.
You have a good foundation, just make small changes to suit your theme better :)

frankly, my own town landscaping is kinda lame because most of my flowers are villager planted, so i'm a little jealous of how neat yours is! i might be in the minority, but i like it the way it is!

Okay so I resplanted some trees (not all of them) and I still a little iffy about how it looks but I'm sure I will like it once I start adding bush starts and flowers around the trees.

I mostly just redid this area

I left everywhere else alone because to be honest I think it's the amount of fruit trees I have in my town, not the placement of the trees themselves.

Fair enough, I found I had way too many fruit trees in my personal town and replaced a lot with cedars for more diversity. It also matched the forest theme a lot better - if you can get your hands on cedar saplings, that might change things enough for you to be happy. They can only be planted in the top half of your town though.
Also be wary if you're cutting down/planting trees and wanting to get/maintain a perfect town rating. It can shift really fast as you landscape. I don't know if that matters to you but it's worth keeping in mind c:
