Sorry if my dream town review wasn't all that great. I'm not good at criticizing anything vuv I used a ref of my cat for the drawing of Umbreon. if that's not okay, you don't have to count it c:

Home improvements: i think maybe the exterior could be changed? the blue roof, mailbox, and tile don't really fit with the aesthetic of the zen paneling and the town in general. main room: i really like it. the bamboo chute making the sound is really nice. i also like the good-luck cats around the back doors. the kotatsu in the middle of the room is really cute and i like the picture of del. the one thing i would have to say is that the cherry blossom clock doesn't really fit with everything else. it's a little too bright, i think. but this room is really relaxing and nice. left room: overall it does seem kind of empty, but i realize how difficult it is to get the ice set. i really like the snowman lamp next to the bed, it's kind of whimsical and cute. i'm not really sure what it is, but i also like the green lily thing on the left of the room. i think this room is nice, but maybe you should fill it up a little more. right room: i've never been a big fan of balloon furniture. i think that you pull it off well, though. i like the streetpass balloons placed around the room (especially the blue heart). i know that there's no way to change the color of mannequins, but i think that the black is kind of distracting. maybe you could put the balloon hat on a table or something instead? overall, this room is cute but not my favorite. upstairs: wow i really like this. the zodiac set has always been a favorite of mine and i like how they're all on display here. i also really like how the gyroid and the raccoon clock are synced up. the music is good for this room, it gives kind of an ethereal, mystical vibe. it kind of reminds me of the music from the movie my neighbor totoro. my one critique is that maybe you could change the floor somehow? it's much different from the theme of the rest of the room so maybe you could find something that fits better. final thoughts: the main room was my favorite by far. the left and right room seem kind of disconnected from the rest of the house and the town in general, but by themselves they were nice. i liked the aesthetic of the upstairs room.
Does path work with town? i think that the path with the large grey stones works really well, but i'm not a huge fan of the paths with smaller black rocks. also the water paths seem kind of sporadic and inconsistent. i understand what you're trying to do but i think you should either use them more often or get rid of them completely. otherwise, they look a bit random and messy in my opinion.
Locations where flowers should/could be: there are a lot of flowers placed seemingly randomly around. if that's the look you're going for then great, but if not then maybe you should make it more organized. i also think it would be best if you stuck with only 2-3 breeds of flowers for your town. violets go well with your town, and so do pansies and lilies. i think it would be best if you had almost exclusively those flowers. (and since your town name is lily, it would be cute to have a lot of lilies around. maybe concentrated near your town plaza?) i really like the white violets around your town so you should definitely put more of those. white and purple violets together always look really good, especially in zen towns. i think the color scheme of your flowers should stick to purple and white, with maybe a few blue. and the area in front of retail is rather bare so maybe you could make either a garden or put a pwp there.
Any suggestions for PWPs?: like i said before, the area in front of retail is kind of empty, so maybe you could make a park-type area? you could put a few hammocks, a bus stop, a zen bell, and an instrument shelter. the area to the left of where i'm talking about now is also pretty empty (it has a few fruit trees and that's it). you could make a little camping area, with hammocks, a fire pit, and some lawn chairs. it would look really nice in the nighttime.
One thing you like about my town: i really like the area to the left of the cafe, with the sandpit, bamboo, and fence. there's something really calming about it. the zen streetlamps right below it are also really cute too. i'm also a fan of the area around the cube statue right next to the traintracks. the water and grate paths around it are really nice. i usually wouldn't consider that pwp to be used in a "zen" town, but you made it work and i really like that.
ah you're right, thanks!I think you should be sure to pm her your reviewIt'll get lost in the posts, and she may not manage to give you credit for your post.
