Buying Orange Candy

I flat out have no idea what I'm supposed to do in the final challenge in The Woods. So, on the off chance there is someone out there who a) successfully figured it out and b) is generous enough to take the offer even though I don't have much compared to most people, I'd like to just throw all my bells at you.

Yeah, I know, this isn't going to work. But it couldn't hurt to try.

Pretty sure we aren't able to trade/sell our purple and orange candies?

Just checked, and purple is un-giftable, so orange probably is too.
