Sometimes I consider it. Then I come to my senses and realize I can barely keep up with one town as it is. Also I'd need a second 3DS if I wanted to trade with myself, that's getting expensive fast...
You would need a 2ds or another 3ds to trade with yourself. Although i must say, a second town to do whatever in has kept me from resetting or tting in my main one.
No, I personally would not. The only reason I can see people buying another copy is to cycle, which 1) is great, but not interested, and 2) there are already so many cycling threads out there. For me it'd just be a waste of money
I had the urge to reset the other day and I had some extra cash so I went ahead and bought a digital copy to sort of satisfy that feeling. Unfortunately, now I realize there's no way I can keep up with two towns. I can't make bells from selling villagers on it because on campus, the wifi doesn't work on my 3DS. Needless to say, I kinda regret spending that $35.
I wouldn't get another copy for some villgers. I do have a second copy but it's only because my partner got bored of playing it. It's too much to take on two towns.
I bought my 2nd copy at a low price and cycled over on ACC for a while...but now I'm making it into a second town since I have soo many villagers I like. I wouldn't spend real money to make fake money though lol. I do have fun time traveling as I please, since I don't TT on my main copy.
Yes, but I'd also for the content, different town themes, etcetera.
But I don't have the money for another 3DS, I still have important things to spend money for.
If the opportunity presented itself, yes. I would get a second copy to try to get my dreamies and some of my friends' dreamies, possibly also to cycle.
The idea is solid, and I know it would be extremely helpful, but I think I'd feel bad about it because I know I'd just use that town to give my main town villagers, bells and other goodies. And everything in the second town would be horribly neglected, since I only have the time and energy to really "play" one town.
I've thought about it before, but as I only have one 3DS I wouldn't be able to get any villagers for myself, they'd all have to go to a cycling thread. Which is fine, I mean whatever yay for getting other people their dream villagers...
but honestly I think it'd be too much for me, taking on two towns. I'd either cycle all day and not play any on my main town, or play on my main town and forget to cycle. I think one game is enough for me, now.
Not likely, but maybe if I decided to go for an all cat or all squirrel town or something. I tend to like having several different types of animals, so my main game will always have a mixture. So, I will likely just stick to one game.
I've had tons of popular villagers move out in my alternate town. Haven't bothered to check how villager trading works, and also, who cares about dreamies.
I purchased second copy solely for having one in a different time period. It has turned into a lot of work as I felt the need to complete requirements there also. If that doesn't bother you it's great to me.
I have a digital and a physical copy, but only one 3DS. So it's sort of an issue if I want to trade things over...
I love working on two towns, though!
One of my towns are mainly cubs/bears (I'm beginning to replace them with another species) and that is like my main town
and my other is going to be a cat down (I already have 4, yay!)
The second one I bought because I thought of another theme for a town that was irresistable and I just HAD to build it.
The third I bought because I really wanted a town that I could just constantly reset, play with different map shapes, test different theories, weird layout ideas, etc. Also, it was $20, so not exactly a huge financial strain. o:
