It depends on the situation, but most of the time there's no use for it.

If on the small things, nobody listened to anyone else's opinion, the world would be thrown into absolute chaos. Jobs wouldn't get done because conflicting opinions make work impossible, the entire political system would go down the drain, and mass truancy would grip the school systems.
