Hey guys, this is just something I enjoy doing and I want some of your opinions on my plans on my town of Ecruteak for its landscaping plans.

Below is an edited image of my Town Map of Ecruteak:

A little overview:

  • Black villager houses are villagers I've yet not moved in.
  • Purple dots are my town's permanent rocks. Rather happy I only have 7! I normally end up with 9...
  • I haven't chosen where my bridges will go yet, and would like some opinions, additionally I would prefer to have only two bridges total. However, I am open to suggestions of the placement of the third bridge!
  • I'm not sure what path pattern I want to use, I was thinking a cobblestone path of sorts but I am not sure what to use... Opinions and suggestions, please!
  • The theme I've chosen is a mix of Rustic and Garden/Forest themes.
  • The Police Station's location isn't final, and I'd like some opinions on it.

I drew some possibly placements for bridges, the ones with the yellow dots around them, I'm not entirely sure if they will fit, but I drew them in anyway. I tried to place bridges to optimize the flow of travel, placing them in places that allow easy access all throu town.

As for path, maybe a QR dirt path, since regular dirt paths can be alot to maintain. I also kinda like where the police station is on your map now.

Sorry for the bad quality, I literally drew everythin in with my finger on my phone, and I didn't realize the highest quality setting would make it so blurry.

No worries. I'll likely use the suggestion for the bridge near the Cafe and potentially the northern most one as well, since I'm not a fan of angled bridges. They make path placement a little annoying. As for a QR dirt path, I'm not too sure since I've never really been a fan of 'artificial' dirt looks in animal crossing. I'm willing to give it a shot, I just need to find one first. And also unlock the QR machine. >_>

Instead of artificial dirt then, maybe a worn out brick path? Possibly with moss or dirt on the edges.

That's a really nice map! I like the idea of the vertical bridge directly below Town Hall and the northern most horizontal bridge that Stella drew. I also like where you have the Police Station planned. Mine is in almost an identical spot except on the other side of my train station.

For the paths, I found this QR that I think looks really nice.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I actually found a path I'm pretty fond of already. I'll keep this one in mind, though!

It sounds nice! The only placement I sort of don’t like is the house right behind the town hall. I feel like it’s too close and hidden.

It's actually further back that it appears. :)

I wanted to split the villager houses to have five on the top section and give on the bottom section, but I didn't want to put a house in a huge open area around the train station, since I had plans to turn it into a garden/park area. The area behind the Town Hall was the only area close to it I could think of.

I like the current bridge, the northernmost one, and the one directly below town hall. That will give you good spacing and movement patterns. The police station is good, I agree.

Oh, yeah. Bit of an update. I was playing late last night and was figuring out how the villager houses would look by using the fountain PWP. Mostly to see if they would actually go there. Unfortunately this confirmed the fact that the house I wanted on the corner of the Town Plaza just wouldn't fit where I wanted it to go, so I had to move it over a bit. It is now a bit closer to the Town Hall.

I also edited in where I chose my bridges to go! I'm not too sure about the northern most one, however. I did see a second option that could lead to a bit more 'creative' freedom? I'm not sure yet.
