Ok so I have a few people I want to kick out of my town and so I'm trying to reshape my town a bit with the villager placement trick (before you ask, here's the link to what I'm talking about: http://www.belltreeforums.com/showt...ng-quot-where-houses-appear&highlight=control).

I really want opinions because I'm getting Kid Cat in a day or two so I'll have to set his house down soon (I initially wanted his house to be where Tom lives [the house alone on the left of the map near lake] but Tom hasn't moved yet...). I made 4 options with the help of MS Paint. I'd preferably like his house to be apart from the rest because of my town lore/history but I also made an option where his house is near others:

Please note that I want to put a zen garden at the bottom right of the plaza town tree so option 1 and 3 makes that a bit harder. Kind of leaning towards option 2 but I would like to know what you guys think.

I think the 3rd one looks the best, but I don?t know what it actually looks like in your town, so it?s hard to say :)

I guess that's true... although my dream address is in my signature. xD But most of those houses aren't there yet (or are there when I want them gone) since lots of people still need to be moved out before any of this can be achieved. 3rd option is nice but then I have to rethink where to put Zen garden since I want to have bamboo around it... so not really sure. x.x

I'd say 3 looks the best, with it's mini communities. Then 4, as it has just enough villagers spread out to look natural. 1 and 2 both look odd with their 1 excluded villager.

I did just dream visit and am wondering if you have plans for West of Pinkys house and above the plaza, as different options for villager placements. I'm guessing the dream is a little dated though, ootherwise I wish you luck getting the remaining villagers where you want them!

It's a little dated but not by much... I have a long way to go before I have all the villagers I want and where they'll go. West/West North of where Pinky's house is will be a big community park (that house on the far North East of my town next to police station will be my community center). I do agree option 3 looks very nice (2 and 3 are probably my favorites in those options) but it still makes me unsure where to put my zen garden then. :( That's the big problem with that option. I wanted the Zen garden next to Whitney close to the waterfall with the zen bell a bit north from the garden but with option 3 that's impossible without cutting down bamboo it seems which I don't like (of course Jacques will need to be booted out to make space regardless).

Oh yeah also the reason I was/am leaning towards 2 is just because then I can have Kid Cat alone and then the rest of the communities are all in 3s (if you don't count the character houses).

Ah, so 5 of the houses might wobble a little bit then? ~ I tried resetting for an exact placement once, and eventually settled for 2 squares behind where I wanted because it took 2 hours and it was the first time they'd tried to move anywhere near where I wanted. I can see the North West being a problem to get. ~ unless you have gotten closer to that than your dream shows.

I can see you like your town and trees to be really neat and aligned, so not sure what to suggest on the zen garden front. Unless you do go with option 2. Which the only thing I have against it is just Kid Cat's house looks utterly randomly placed in it. But I can see you making it look well in town, it just looks odd on a the map which excludes trees/pwp.

Naw they won't wobble. xD Luckily I'll only have to place two of the houses located in the North West since two of the 5 hours are character houses which are a breeze to set. The more I play the more picky I am with the house placements, like Coco's house is right where I want it and it took me hours (I didn't want her house to break any of the bamboo) and I plan to do that with the other houses too.

I'll probably have to stare at my options for a long time and walk around my town a bunch to imagine how his house will look there and try to figure out where to put the Zen garden if I don't put his house there... urgh. x.x It stresses me out.

Haha, my town would cause you heart failure. xP About the only things planned are bushes and flowers, and even then Fauna smushed a handful.
I don't envy your task, but it'll pay off in the end when you get it all perfect. And atleast you can place temporary pwp to stop them moving into certain spots.

I think 3rd looks best, but with 2nd you can make your bamboo zen garden area. You might even have room for a zen bell or something.

I'll visit your town for funsies then... xD My own town is causing me heart failure right now. x.x

Thanks for the input so far... seems option 3 is most favored. xD; I just don't know where that leaves me in terms of certain pwps... LIFE IS SO HARD (jk).

Lurrdoc: yeah that was the plan initially but seems everyone loves option 3. x.x

Hi Lin! I like #3 as well. It's cute with the little groups. How do you ensure the villagers you're going to get? Don't they change each time you reset?

If you stop posting after your visit I'll phone emergency services for you. xP ~ town looks like it has nice house placement now, but all the best placed houses are villagers I want to move!

xD I think 3 is only the most preferred because it seems most planned, if Kid cats house were to be in line with and next to Coco's instead I imagine everyone would like that too, but that would ruin your planned park. Though you said it'd fit in with your towns lore, so surely that'd be better for you. If you prefer Kid Cat away from the others then do what you want. ~ you might find he puts down a plot in the perfect place that you hadn't even thought of while you reset anyway.

If you invite them from another persons town or the campsite then all plots will be for that villager. ;D

Yeah I paid bells for Kid Cat so it'll always be him when I reset (thank Google for that...). I'm strongly considering option 3 for sure but not sure about pwps anymore... aahhhh. But Jinglefruit is right perhaps he'll try to place his house in a spot I hadn't thought of before and I'll like it who knows. x.x

Also Jingle your town looks really cool with all the flowers and bushes. xD Man so many hybrids... -jelly- I didn't die of anything thankfully! I obsess more over my own town's placement of things. Also for the park thing I think you mean if Kid Cat put his house next to Pinky's. o-o Since Coco's house isn't near where a park is supposed to be.

Ah yes, I meant Pinky, above Hamlet. - should have checked past posts before posting. PWP wise, you could add a zen garden to the west or south of the cafe, as it goes with the little outdoor pond thing there and bamboo.

And thanks, admittedly the hybrids came from TTing my alt town, but I'd be sick of looking at red/yellow and white flowers only otherwise, and I need my hayfever inducing fields or it just doesn't feel like my town. xP

Naw South of where my Cafe will be (yes that's edited too, it's not actually built yet because Willow is in the way...sigh XD I messed up on the reset trick that time) is my lighthouse + bench area, west is my hotspring surrounded by bamboo. I actually thought of another place to put Kid Cat~ Not sure yet of course since there are options WITHIN that option (?!) but... more options is good... or bad.... kill me now. xD (jk)

Also I hear you I'm so sick of looking at some of my flowers... Especially the ones north of my fountain along the path (I want to put only hybrids there but I don't have much to work with).
