Opinions on Nightcore?

So I just listened to it for the first time, some of it is a bit too high pitched and fast to the original, but most I've listened to are great

I see it on Youtube quite a lot but was never sure what it actually is. At first I thought it was a group, then I thought it was a genre but many videos sound completely different. Can anyone explain?

Well, I have to admit this is kinda funky, even if it's just a simple alteration to the speed and pitch.

i think it's mostly garbage and has done irreversible damage to the actual happy hardcore genre and totally ruins the original EDM tracks they're remixing, and i use the word remix extremely loosely because nightcore doesn't require too much production skills if any. just yikes, especially when it's almost discount alvin and the chipmunks and done to some popular song
