What are your opinions on using tweeters to walk in water or duping that are glitches?

I personally think it's not so great, does anyone think the same?

I think things like Tweeter glitches aren't that bad, since they're really just for fun and derping around.

Duping, on the other hand, is ruining the economy, causing items to lose their value and players who have low amounts of money to be subject to inflation as the prices constantly rise, when dupers can just clone their money to buy whatever. On top of that, duping is banned from the forum, if I'm correct...

I'm not "against" either, especially since I do tweeter glitches just to have some fun every now and then. And I've met some really nice dupers who've loaned me money so I can buy something quickly and then give them money back, so I'm still at least making the money at one point or another, and some have given me things that were cancelled in WW and CF that they obtained before they were removed, and then duped a bit before giving it away to less-rich people.

But yeah. I think that duping is just a way that people can play their game; I'd get bored pretty fast having whatever I want whenever I wanted it, but hey, some people like that. And as for tweeter glitches, those don't help you advance in the game, but just let you walk in the river a bit for fun.

THANK YOU. Just, thank you. While I don't dupe myself, I've been interested in it and seeing how it works when you turn off communications.

I'm of the opinion that glitches are fine, as long as they don't negatively affect other people.

XD Yeah. I've heard you need a Japanese copy- not sure if this is true or not. I know how to do the duping glitch, but since it can potentially screw up your game, I'm reluctant to try it since I have everything I'd want in a dream town and I don't want to risk it all just for another sack of bells.

Still, if I got a free copy and they were just like, "Here, go nuts" I'd probably try it out just for fun.

Glitches are NOT expliots (duping)! I don't mind it too much- though Nintendo's reluctance to patch exploits are idk... lazy?

^ This.

Though people who like to brag about how "cool" they are for glitching and/or duping get pretty annoying after awhile.

I find duping fine, but its the dishonesty of people I can't handle. I know this forum is against duping, but I would much rather prefer having a duped item being sold to me than a suspicious feeling towards the seller. I even sometimes get suspicious when I see someone try to ~restock~ unorderables in the Re-Tail forum, but without any evidence, they're business scheme wouldn't be exploited to the public anyways, and quite frankly, dupes and the real stuff are indistinguishable so I dunno how "having a duped item may ruin your save file" rumours come around; I also doubt that the process itself can ruin a save file, but that's just me.

I like people who glitch as long as they don't brag about it. "I have 7 sets of the 7-11 and you have none." "I have 15 gold watering cans." That's the sign of someone you shouldn't talk to.

i have duped before
nothing like bells or whatever
bushes because im really impatient and you can only buy 2 at a time, and flowers
and i wouldnt sell any of those to people, even if i hadnt duped, really
if someone wants something i have i would just let them have/catalog it or whatevs

I don't even have a tweeter, so I've never glitched the game.

I still want to visit that "glitch town" just to see what it's like. But it's not worth paying the super high price people here charge for tweeters just to mess around with that stuff in my own town.

Personally I don't use the tweeter glitch because I don't find it worth the risk of messing up my game, but it is fun to watch videos of it on YouTube. Duping, however, is a real problem for the economy and I believe that Nintendo should put out a patch to fix it.

Wow, people charge for tweeters? I feel stupid for selling mine to Reese now when I got more than one, I would have given it away. If I get anymore I'll have to start handing them out lol.

I don't care if people want to use glitches/exploits as long as they don't do it in my town tbh, hahah.

The only way I've seen duping affect the economy here on TBT is the prices went down for some of the more rare items, like the golden set and the 7-11 set. But they still sell for a good bit.

I didn't play online during the WW days, but I haven't seen any of the trading crowns or thrones thing yet that the WW duping was known for. At least, not on TBT. I have seen it elsewhere.

Personally, I have a problem with people selling villagers for insane amounts more than I do duping.

I don't bother with glitches, because I don't find them very entertaining myself.

I used to like the tweeter glitch but I don't know, the sound is really annoying lol.

Like Kippla said, as long as dupers don't brag, I'm OK with it, or as long as they don't dupe so much it ruins their fun. It may be fun for them though :P

I don't dupe or glitch, simply because I have no idea how and it's never interested me enough to look up how to do any of them. I would probably be the one to ruin the economy of the game by duping something so I just stay away from it!
I had the actionreplay for DS and the first thing I always dod was get myself as much money as possible. So if I knew how to do it, I probably would. So I just stay away from it all and keep my blissful ignorance.

I don't really mind if anyone dupes or glitches, you're not affecting me and how I play my game. But until you mess with what I'm doing, you're fine by me.
