Opinion on water tiles?

Ikr! The person who designed those is a genius xD I thought they were perfect for my new town, since I didn't want to use the same ones as my first town^^

I like seeing different tiles, including water ones. I spent two days making my own water tiles because I wanted a "swimming pool." Now I use them in different parts of my town. Overall I enjoy having them, but the colours are different from the actual in-game water (couldn't make it look sharp otherwise).

It all depends on what qr you use, some just look more realistic than others, and of course the placement is important too to maintain the illusion. I use water in both of my towns.

I would use them but I have two extra characters holding 2 path types already. I don't really have room planned for a fourth (I don't hold paths with my main), so I can't use them. Curse the tiny amount of space we get for holding patterns. :l

I don't use them bc it isn't really water. You can step right over it and I don't really like that, even if it looks pretty.

I love them, if they don't look too cartoony. When they do, the illusion completely falls apart for me and they tend to look really flat. I use them in my town for generally empty areas.

I think they look great, when they're in right places I wouldn't mind having them in my town, buut without other paths they would look really lame

Water tiles tend to be a divisive topic in the fandom.

I've seen some great looking water tiles and I have seen some horrific ones. I'm not opposed to them, usually the people using them put a lot of effort and thought into placement to enhance the illusion.

I agree that they look great in screenshots.
But the fact that the water doesn't move and you can walk over it makes me not want it in my town.
I did go to a dream town once though that was almost all covered with water patterns and little bridge patterns and it was very dreamy and pretty.

I've never liked them. They're very creative and the people who design them are really good at designs, but they just don't look right in towns. Especially when they're next to a river or the cliff where you can see real water and it's so obviously different. They don't move, they don't make sound and they don't look real enough for me - whenever I see them in dream towns, I don't see it as water at all, just painted grass that looks strange :/

i think they're ok but idk at the same time i hate how they look in game especially when you step on them so yeah idk i probably won't be using them in my town.

I don't really like them that much. They can look ok, but I think I prefer just not to have them.

I like them a lot tbh idc if they look flat its fun to avoid the water like its real or try walking around in it in boots like youre splashing puddles
