Opinion on Sanrio themed towns?

So I recently found my original cartridge version of animal crossing after 4 years
And since I now have two towns I can work on I am debating on selling my original town (since I haven't played it in years) and creating a sanrio themed town since I have the amiibo cards.

What are your opinions on sanrio towns? Are they too played out? Or are they nice to visit?

i'm a huge Sanrio fan so i'm extremely biased, but they're pretty cool! then again, there are only 6 sanrio villagers, so i'm not sure what'd you do with the other free slots. it's kind of hard to work around, but they're nice to visit~

I still really enjoy visiting sanrio towns. I know a lot of people are tired of seeing the pink/girly/sanrio towns but if that's what you like then that's what you like!

I've been a fan of sanrio since I was a young teen so I really enjoy seeing it come to life in ACNL. If you like it then I say go for it! A beautiful town is a beautiful town no matter the theme.

That's what I'm worried about. I'm kind of over the whole super pink/kawaii themes since it was soooooo popular for the first few years of the game. So I was thinking of going for a more natural village type of feel instead of overly pink. Like the paths a nice pastel yellow with each area around the villagers sort of being modeled after the sanrio character. Of course itll still be cutesy, but more natural looking?
And for other villagers I'm getting tia just to match chai and then I'll try to find some other ones that could be like the other sanrio characters

Sanrio doesn't necessarily mean just pink :3 I like your idea of having yellow paths (matches Marty's sprite :3), I think a forest w/ yellows and other colours along with sanrio villagers (plus others, tia & chai would be adorable), is a great idea :3

A sanrio/natural kinda town is totally doable! You could use a path similar to this with lots of trees and bushes!

I also think Merengue matches the Sanrio villagers pretty well along with Tia or Daisy since she's a light natural color!

I think it could look really great

I made a list of different villagers that could possibly match with the different characters
Kiki (chococat) , Joey (gudetama), Walker (pochacco) , chrissy (bonbon ribbon) so I may do those.
But I definitly think I'll try to make it a lot more natural and village-feeling than over the top? We will see!!! I'm all excited now lol

i've seen a lot of this cutesy/kawaii sanrio towns on youtube, it was not pleasant to look at LOL, this one girl had this BRIGHT light pink path all over her town & it was just too much pink, & not pretty at all in my opinion

though, I like the idea you mentioned of the town being natural instead of overly-pink cause that youtuber town hurt my eyes, even with the low quality video graphics LOL

Yea no that's what I am trying to avoid definitely
Her town is still really cute but only using one color in 2 or 3 different shades for everything is kinda bland and starts to hurt after a bit imo
Plus I'm just over all the super "kawaii" towns so im trying to steer away as much as I can despite sanrio being a very cutesy theme to begin with.

I love the idea of a sanrio town but if you are going to do it. You should make it a bit more unique. Don't get me wrong I love kawaii but it's SO common. Id suggest maybe doing a pastel pink AND blue path instaed of the boring pink that's litteraly everywhere. Maybe purple flowers? I'd enjoy a sanrio town with a pop of colour than just pink,pink,and more pink. If you are doing the sanrio town,good luck!

I don't think that kawaii and sanrio towns are overdone at all. You should do whatever you want with the town!

I don't know what a Sanrio town is, but I love Etoile. I now need to find a dream address to one of these places so I can see what it looks like!

Sanrio themed towns are nice, but they aren’t my personal cup of tea! I wouldn’t make one myself, especially because there’s only 6 villagers, but they’re cute and I like visiting them through the dream suite! If you want to make a Sanrio themed town, I think you should go for it!
