Opinion on K-POP? (Korean pop music)

I like Orange Caramel, f(x) and Apink, along with some misc. songs but I'm not really into much else

I was a massive fan until around 2009/10 but much more causal now. I'm more interested in the business side of their music industry rather than the artists themselves. I was huge on DBSK - I guess my love of Korean pop died with the lawsuit which resulted in Micky, Hero, and Xiah leaving the group. But I still follow Hero's career: he's turned to rock now and it's amazing.

I did see BIGBANG live in December 2012 though. The energy they have live is immense - it's a much different atmosphere to hearing any UK/US pop or rock artists. :)

The exact thing thing happened with me, I was in love with DBSK since 2006, but I just stopped listening to Kpop after they split. (actually I feel like I wasn't actually all that into Kpop, just DBSK) They were more than a Kpop group. They had wonderful acappella and ballads and worked hard to be popular in Japan.
Their Japanese ballads are my most favorite. * ^*

I don't really like K-pop due to how manufactured it seems. Then again, that might only have to do with idol groups. I find it difficult to pinpoint personalities and talent based on the information provided.

I like sounds and personalities that are 'harmonious' together.

I guess Tablo, Younha and LoveAge are the only Korean artists I can list.

I'm fine with it, but what I find really annoying is when people are like "KPOP IS THE BEST MUSIC IN THE WORLD!" and hate anyone who disagrees -.-

I guess it's okay??

I like Girls Generation not for the girls huh

but I don't understand the songs so I just listen to a bunch of words that make no sense for me so it feels weird when u listen to it

that happens with everything that gets fans but yeah you are right it's annoying when you find these kind of fans

eww

I sort of feel like pop music is pretty similar across all cultures. I've never really been impressed. But if you like it I say go for it.
