opinion of "ugly" villagers

I?ve had Moose in my town since day 1, and he?s grown to be one of my favorite villagers- he?s such a sweetheart, and the things he says always make me smile ^u^ Not to mention that he has a cool house! Reminds me of a private eye?s office :) It makes me sad when people call him disgusting and hideous... I mean sure, he?s a little quirky-looking, but he?s certainly not horrible like everyone says he is! :( He?s really cool once you get to know him ^^;

And I really liked Tabby back when I had her in my Wild World town... she was always nice to me, saying we were like sisters and wanting to go fishing with me ^u^ Why did I ever let her move?? She was one of the nicest peppies I?ve ever had...

Chester's one of my favorite villagers- he's a fricking Panda! But he doesn't get a lot of love. I think one of the hidden powers of animal crossing is the emotional connection you can have in certain situations, like its not all about perfection, idealisation. animal crossing can be a pretty funny game, and weird things like that can happen, and should!

I like a lot of them actually! Pietro, Rasher, from the people I've seen here and the list goes on. But the two most recent turnarounds for me have been Gruff and Marcel. Gruff was without a doubt the oddest cranky I've ever had! He lived in the museum or his house, it felt like and was rarely ever out and interacting with the villagers. I rarely saw him. That changed when I adopted Vivian from someone and she moved in next door. He finally had a friend and while he wouldn't really be out in town a lot still, I'd occasionally spot him on the beach or outside around both of their houses in his own little world. He was really nice too! Always giving me free stuff I wanted or things I knew other villagers liked I could mail them. He and Vivian both moved to better homes before the death of the town due to health problems and I did miss him a lot. He was the only villager I've had like him. Just a cranky little hermit.

Marcel is a shorter story. He's a part of my new town I started after having to abandon the old one due to a medical hiatus. He's just a really cool and laidback pup. He's given me free gifts I've actually wanted, loves hide and seek despite being the worst hider in the town and is in every game, and is in a good part of town so I'm probably just going to end up keeping him. He's great! I have good experiences with most lazies but Marcel has just been really fun to have around.

Obviously though, this differs for a lot of people! Everyone has different experiences with their villagers, positive or negative. So I always think it's worth it to give villagers you haven't had chances, even if their design isn't your favorite at first. That's the magic of the game, every town is unique and so are the villagers! And wow, I'm just rambling on so I'll stop here!

Kill stinky with fire and send him to the deepest point in space

Hazel moved into my town, RIGHT BEHIND my mayors house. I hated it for that but I hated it her more for her unibrow. Also hated how she said "UNIWOW!" LOL

However, she really grew on me. After a few weeks i was diggin her uchi personality and was actually sad to see her go. Her house was in a bad spot, and i hated her at first, but i liked her after a while. Still not a dreamie, but i enjoyed her. And she is how i learned kk disco too lol

Honestly I think some of the more popular villagers get quite boring. The ‘uggos’ seem to be much more loveable. Now I’m certainly not saying I don’t try to get my dreamies from bell tree, but there’s a certain magic about the game when you get villagers you don’t really like and they grow on you. And they’re always the so called average or ugly ones :(
Pietro is my example as well as a few others on here! Everyone thinks he’s creepy but I think he’s adorable and sweet and he randomly moved into my town (sadly he moved away but I have him in my second town now <3).

I used to hate Baabara with a passion, but then I ended up liking her a ton. :)

Hamphrey and Diva are nice too.

I had the same problem with Chow back in Wild World. He moved into my town and I thought ?YUCK!?

He was horrible and mean to me. He was always grumpy, never awake when I needed him to be (I was at school at the time so only tended to play first thing in the morning, so I never actually got to see Chow). I use to send him hate mail, open all his presents and letters for other villagers, whack him with a net and plant pitfalls around his house.

But he never left. Then I read somewhere that the only way to get a villager to leave was to befriend them so I started doing that. And as I tried to befriend him I finally warmed up to him. It felt like such an achievement breaking through to see he?s nicer side and knowing that even though he was grumpy, he?d always have my back. Once that happened I couldn?t let him go, and I still love him today.

I think Chester and Chow (maybe gruff) are the only true 'ugly' villagers for me, peaches has those weird button eyes though.

The three things I look for in a villager is personality, house position and singing voice. You could not look good but if they have an ear-piercing sound while singing the town theme, I want them out. I love all lazy villagers. Personality is a small factor. If their house is isolated, then I'm going to be mad.

Considering all animals of a certain personality act the same (like all lazy animals act the same), then I don't see what's wrong with judging the ugly animals. At that point, the only thing you're getting that might be interesting is their house (exterior/interior).

One nice thing about the ugly animals though is most of them tend to be considered low tier. It feels like too many towns have the same animals over and over. If you have an ugly animal, a LOT less towns will have it and your town will feel more unique.

There are a few ugly villagers that I don’t like simply because I’ve had them in past towns, like Gigi, or Broffina. There of course are certain villagers that I do judge, and it’s kinda poop, but I have attachments to specific villagers that other people love as well. It’s hard to not get attached to the cute villagers, especially if I like their personality types.

While there are some villagers which have a look that I don't like so much, I wouldn't call
them immediately ugly. After I started to give more villagers a chance which I ignored for
the most time, I just accepted them, even if I don't like their look, I accepted them. And
some of them aren't that bad as I thought at first, like Cobb for an example, which I didn't
really liked for some reasons and now like him, even if his look is still kinda creepy sometimes
to be honest.

At the same time, I started to lose interest of some of the rather popular villagers, as they
became kinda boring for me. When you see them everywhere and everytime, they aren't so
special or that interesting after a while.

If I can't get attached to them in any way, I let them leave. If I do like them, usually their design will grow on me and they may become a dreamie

I do like Tipper a lot, but I'm not sure if shes considered 'ugly' ^ω^

In my old town, I had Marcel for quite a while and found him very enjoyable.

A lot of people pass on the mice, but there are some that I find cute. Broccolo and Samson have cute faces and smiles, I think.

Ditto the alligators. I love Gayle, Boots, and Alfonso, and I think Drago is cool.

That is, assuming people pass on the mice and gators because they think they're ugly. If that's the case, that's too bad. The gators have really grown on me.
