Oops... Golden Slingshot

Basically, I accidentally shot down a golden slingshot in the wrong spot and it landed on top of a pattern - BAM it disappeared D:

My question is, will the golden slingshot come by again? Have I lost my chance of obtaining it? Has anyone else done this?

It says on the wiki that if you somehow missed it, the next present will be the golden slingshot again, so you SHOULD get it next time I believe. O:

This is another reason i'll never do paths.. Miss out on items etc..fossil spawns. Anywho bummer that it happened I'm sure AC isn't that mean, it should fly by once again.

the same thing happened to me with the silver slingshot, got on a pattern and poofed. I honestly wish one day we can drop things on patterns and they wont poof
