Only Me

K.K. Slider's song, Only Me, is a melancholy song. But, I believe I have figured out where it may draw inspiration from.

Only Me is reminiscent of classic, American Christmas Songs, such as Driving Home for Christmas, So This is Christmas, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, and probably many others. The thing these songs all have in common is that they're evoke sad emotion about what is normally a festive holiday. Even the album cover depicts K.K. Slider in mid twentieth century clothing, around the time of the classic Christmas song genre.

But that's just my silly theory of a video game dog who sang a song probably about Christmas or whatever.

Haha Idk if I'm alone on this but I get an Elvis Presley vibe. I love it though! It's playing in my mayors kitchen.

Listening to Elvis Presley it does kind of sound like that, but Elvis puts on a southern accent to some of the songs.
