online servers & eshop shutting down

ok so i only found out today that they're starting to shut down the eshop next month and it got me thinking, when will the acnl servers shut down? i'm not even close to getting any of my visiting badges or finishing my town, so i'm pretty worried. glad i'm getting a switch in december, because if the servers don't shut down soon they probably will later :/

eShop isn't shutting down, only some really watered down ones in some countries, but the normal eShops are still going strong.

really? D: okay, glad that i just got the dreamer badge in both of my towns... and I live in a northern european country, and no one plays ac(nl) here so i guess i'm in danger... *chuckle*

EDIT: found out it's just latin american and caribbean countries (excluding mexico and brazil) for now. but i guess they will continue to shut them down in more and more countries where nintendo isn't that popular...

the thought of the servers shutting down makes me sad - i don’t even play new leaf anymore but i remember when it was so popular and the new leaf subforums were so populated and now they’re just so dead,, kinda sad ;;
