Basically, lmao. This takes the cake.
Almost every Villager I run into spams Lloyd and Timber.
Today I met two Peach's who spammed Peach Bomber. Please, I know your sexy behind is very effective in battle, but it's no fun if that's all you use. I'm not the best Peach player (really suck, actually) but at least I don't spam... Or I don't think I do...
Spamming of any move is not fun. I've recently played against a counter spammer. I won, but I had to spam eggs/grabs to do a lot of damage. I'm not usually a spammy Yoshi, but I will resort to spam if my opponent spams. Peach Bomber isn't really good to spam as Peach. If the move doesn't come in contact with the opponent, it makes Peach wide open for attacks.(especially smash attacks) If you know what your opponent will try you can keep at a distance where you don't get hit and you can strike your opponent quickly.
You forgot about pew pew animals
They were spamming Lloyd and slingshot for most of the match. It is unplayable to fight against and it isn't fun. I even lost an offline tournament a few weeks ago because of someone that played that way too. If only I knew a counter to Villager spam....
Fox-trotting is the technique in all four Super Smash Bros. games that consists of moving along the ground by repeatedly executing characters' initial dash animation, as opposed to using their full dash. Since some characters' initial dash animations move them faster than their full dash, these characters are able to run faster with the use of fox-trotting. Fox trotting is predominately used in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and characters with which the technique is most commonly executed are Fox, Captain Falcon, Roy, and Marth. As a Villager player that uses a lot of Lloyds, I think the best way to avoid them is to dash and roll. Most Villagers expect other players to try to jump and dodge, but this is easily punishable because Villager's neutral air A lasts just long enough so that the dodge doesn't always work, and you could also get the slingshot of death. If you charge the Lloyd and roll past it (I think this is called fox trotting?) done just right you'll be out of the range of the bowling ball and the umbrella and you can punish with a quick dash attack or throw. Hope this helps ^-^
In order to defeat villager, you must use villager as well. Enough said.
I tried that. I failed.
Any more?
