One Way to cure depression.

Noone and NOTHING will make me change my stance on theese things. If i had my way, they'd all be banned.

Perhaps a bit more life experience, and some sort of medical education would change that. That's all I'm going to say. No matter your distaste for drug therapy and ill-advised rant, the fact is it has saved hundreds of millions of lives and has revolutionized medicine. I'll agree that there may be a problem with too much drug prescription, but the vast majority of those who are given drugs actually need them. However, I see much of the anti-drug sentiment as an outgrowth of the anti-science and anti-intellectual that so severely annoys me in today's society.

Since when has it become a matter of life or death?
And wtf? Im athiest and see Science as the way forward. I just dont believe its right to give drugs to TRY to cure something which is to do with the brain. Its just TO unnatural. The brain is meant to develop not be inhibited by drugs and therapys. I've seen these drugs turn very good friends into terrible monsters. Its not right to use these drugs. Plus its like treating a cold. You cant just prescribe 1 drug for it, you have to give several, and HOW do you know your giving the right one?
I'm not complaining about people who NEED drugs (say people with disorders like sleep, internal organs etc). But i am 100% Against drugs which are for 'Mental Disorders' (FFS you made me post that term).

You can't cure ADHD or ADD or anything of the sort. My friend has ADHD and he needs the pills or he goes into a state of shock. So go ahead, take them away. Kill my friend.

If you're talking only about psychotropic drugs, then that changes things. But when you say that drugs are not necessary, you mean all drugs, including the drugs that kill cancer cells in chemotherapy, insulin for diabetics, vaccines that teach the body to kill certain viruses, and anti-biotics that help find and kill harmful bacteria.

I was so depressed it actually did result in physical effects...

I missed half of my classes one day because I was throwing up in the school bathroom.

The fact is, that if I didnt get treatment I would have killed myself, or done a serious amount of self damage.

And I was brought up 'normally' except for I had to take a tablet once or twice a day...
