One cycler to another?

Okay, here's the scoop.
My main town has 8/10 dreamies CURRENTLY living in it.
(My cycling town is housing the other two, Mira and Punchy)

QUESTION: I recently lost punchy in my main to a random move out without telling me; would it be better for me to leave these two spaces open and try to get my cycle done faster instead of moving in Mira and only having one open spot?

Any help is appreciated.

Also, would this count toward the 16 cycle: Punchy left when I had Fuchsia, rocket and Hugh all living in my town. Fuchsia and rocket have since moved out, does that count as 2/16 or am I still at 0/16 since they were living there when Punchy moved? And would hugh make it 3/16 or still 0.

It is best to complete the cycle then move BOTH villagers in...
Because you then would be attempting to cycle with only 1 spot, which is very hard to do...
The last villager moved in can move out... but it is usually the hardest to get out.
So, it is better to have 2 spots to cycle with... After all, you don't want to have to worry about another dreamie moving trying to cycle with a single spot.

And you are at 2/16.
Move ins or who has been in the town before/after doesn't matter.
It only matters how many villagers have moved out since the villager you want back has moved out.

Thank you so much! I was concerned that the 3 move outs weren't going to count. I figure 2 would definitely be better than 1 since I can sort of rotate them. 1 then another that way it may not necessarily be the last person to move in that I'm trying to get to ping me Punchy and Mira can wait in Nirn
