When I hear the name, not only do I think of Genji in Overwatch like @megantron, I think of @Skunk and @WaileaNoRei, since I got used to seeing him in their avatar (I might be mistaken about @WaileaNoRei, though I’m pretty sure he is one of her favorites and she helped me become more interested in him ^.^).

How does this work? If you buy a ring at Nook's do you give it to the villager and then they say something special? I have a ring in my inventory but I've never gifted it or opened the box or anything.
As for Genji, I ordered an Amiibo card for him and some other villagers. I"m glad to hear he's cool.
Genji is awesome and was one of the first 15 villagers that was on my list to grind for their photo.

I had Genji. He moved in... then after the next villager moved in, he asked to move out and I was like "okay boy, bye." xD

it’s true! Genji is like my first love among the villagers. I didn’t know anything about any of them, because I was brand new to animal crossing, and there he was, my starter jock. He’s such a cute, grumpy-faced little guy. A perfect blend of weird and funny and cute! He was my first avatar when I joined the forum too. I’ll have to get him in the rotation again, I don’t want to neglect him.
I do wish I had his real house, but I’ve had fun ‘redesigning’ his starter house, and at least I don’t have to worry about ruining a nice house with all the trades and sales and bugs and fish.
I’m a fan of most rabbit species and Genji is definitely one of them! He is just adorable! He was one of my villagers in the animal crossing gamecube game, sadly I have not yet encountered him in new horizons. I’d definitely move him in instantly when I do find him and I don’t even like jocks, but exceptions will be made for this rabbit!
