OMG, I nearly gave myself a heart attack

I am behind in my game and often times have to go back in time because of lack of time to play. I have been a month or more behind for awhile and when I last played I was on toy day.
I went into game tonite and the date was Jan. 4th 2018. So I went back to new years eve to get the cider and the hats. After the game hit midnight I changed the time so it would be daylight, about mid afternoon. As I went to change it I realized that when I went back to new years eve I forgot to change the year and was now on Jan. 1 2019!
Oh my god I freaked out! Idc about weeds but I do have some villagers I do not want to lose(Molly,Spork and Static). I knew I had no choice but to open the game(on Jan. 1 2018) and see what damage I had done. To my shock all my villagers were still there! That was when I remembered that I had read on this forum that if you set the time back, no matter how far back, it only counts as one day. Whew! I got lucky this time.
Bonus: when I went in the game Isabelle told me I have a new villager. He's a really cute dog named Shep. I love how his hair covers his eyes. Think I might keep him around awhile

P.S. Rocket looks really funny wearing a new years eve hat on top of her helmet,lol

I would be so scared if that happened o.o I think once I somehow skipped forward a month or two and freaked out, so I can't imagine how frightening it would be to skip an entire year! Also I love Shep so much, he's one of my favorite villagers

I know the feeling! I lost Skye to bad time travel like this and I actually had a little heart break when I found out lol. I bought her card that day! I'm glad you didn't lose anyone. It is so easy to mess up when you're not paying enough attention during time travel lol

SKYE. I lost her, too. I quit the game within a few days of that mishap and didn't come back until Pocket Camp (which is what I have now abandoned in place of ACNL) and learning about the WA update.

Since everyone has lovely wolf amiibo cards though I finally am a few villager cycles away from getting her back as my tenth wolf.

So yeah, I too understand the panic that is accidental time traveling.

It was really sad. Skye has been my favorite since I had my very first town in 2015. I got her again and was just being careless with TTing and lost her. Getting her card in the mail made me so happy though! Hope you can get her back again soon Wolfy I adore all of the wolf villagers btw! Wish they had them in all personality types.

I don't understand why they didn't keep Dobie a Lazy villager. But we're getting off topic now. XD
