Matt Smith looks...alright... I dunno. I think he'll end up being pretty good, but I don't think he can ever top David Tennant.

As for the episode... I thought it was brilliant. Amazing. Epic. I'm disappointed that they didn't show more of the Time War. It would've been a great way to bring back Paul McGann (8th Doctor) or Christopher Eccleston (9th Doctor) for a cameo. Oh well. =/ I liked that he went back and visited all of his previous companions before he regenerated. And I'm REALLY glad that they didn't kill off Donna or Wilf. But now I'm left with questions, like how did Donna survive after activating her memories? And who was that Time Lady that kept appearing to Wilf? And will the Time Lords and/or the Master ever come back? I guess I'll just have to wait until the next season... .-.

Donna survived after activating her memories because The Doctor imprinted a "safety shut-off" in her mind so that if she ever does remember, she just falls asleep. Atleast that's what I'm guessing. It kinda seems like they just threw that in there at the last moment so that the story made sense :/

As for the time lady, I believe she was Donna.

Anyway, I am 99.99999% sure that woman was the Doctor's mum, and she basically told him to kill both.

Also, he didn't hallucinate the Ood, the Ood was using a hologram device and they other Oods sang to give him a burst of energy so he could go to the Tardis.


I thought seeing Rose was stupid, seeing as they made it clear when she left that there was no chance of her seeing the Doctor again because they were living in Parallel Universes. So how did the Doctor just...pop over to see her lol???


Also, I can bet my bottom dollar the Master somehow escapes, because just imagine how bad Doctor Who would be without the Master, Daleks, Cybermen etc.

He went back in time before they had met. It was New Year's 2005. They first meet in 2005, which is why the Doctor says "I think 2005 will be a great year for you" or something. Also, Rose clearly didn't know who he was yet.

What? No, the Doctor wouldn't have to go to the parallel world at all. He went back in time before he ever met Rose, back when she was still in the Doctor's world. She didn't go to the alternate world until the end of the second season.
