[Wish]

I wake up in the morning and I find 3 hairy caterpillars outside and they are HUGE. ( One was 6 inches!) One of them was dead though. =P (I think)
There is a line running down the middle of its back. Anyone know what it is? And if its harmful? Im keeping it in a bug thingy right now but if it's harmful, I might have to kill it. =/ Which I don't want to do. D=

I remember when I was young I saw a catterpillar and I thinkk it grew another two legs that looked like suction cups and I nearly puked :X :X

It looks a little like this. But not exactly because the hairs aren't that long.
And the back looks like this.

there are hundreds of species of caterpillars. take a couple pics and go to the library. you can find region-specific insect guides there and try to match it up. if you find one that looks right, google the scientific name and double check.
