old villagers in your main street ---> meaning in terms of time ?

hello everyone,

Was wondering about something: when, I mean, how much time after they move out, do old villager appear on your main street ?

Asking this because about 9 months ago, Lobo moved out (UNFORTUNATELY) and a few days back he appeared for the first time in my T&T.

Would this mean anything ?
Would this mean I have cycled through enough villagers to get him moving back in again ?

I haven't been counting my moved out villagers since he left (didn't know that 16 villager thingy at that point), I can only more or less guess I'm either at 13 or 14 something (could be 10 too, or 16 even, totally in the dark here).


Or is this time of showing up just a random thing ?
Maybe I'm reading too much into it...


Anybody knows ?

Not sure if this is accurate, but apparently once t hey stop showing up on Main Street, it means you've finished the cycle.

"After you’ve had 4 villagers move out, the 16 most recent villagers to have left your town have the chance to show up on main street to do a little shopping every day. They just miss you! If you don’t want them there, get 16 more villagers to move out and the one you don’t like will be gone. This is also a good indicator of whether an old villager can move back into your town or not. The moment they stop appearing on main street, they’ll have cleared the 16 villager cycle and will be able to move back in to your town."

That is true. After a certain amount of villagers move out, you start seeing them one by one on Main Street. I've only had 5 villagers move out of my town: Ribbot, Rhonda, Beardo, Elvis, and Big Top. Once Big Top moved out, I started seeing Ribbot on Main Street and only him. If I let someone else move out, I will start seeing Ribbot and Rhonda, and so on and so forth.

It used to baffle me that when I would let villagers move out, why I would not see anyone on Main Street, until I found out that a certain amount of villagers have to be gone before anyone comes back to visit.

so that would mean I have only had 4 villagers move out since Lobo... ?

I'm sure I'm at least at 10 something...

OR maybe I just didn't see Lobo wandering around (possible too)

ahhh, hate it not having a clue where I'm at
