old villager on main street

so i’ve now had 4 villagers move out of my town (3 of them i’ve asked to leave to have new villagers move in) and only one of them has come back and has been on main street for well over a month now. the second i asked to leave was a sanrio villager, and i just saw her on main street. has this happened to anyone else? for some reason i didn’t think sanrio villagers could come back!

Yes, this is regular in the game, I think after enough villagers move out from your town, they start appearing on main street.
