Oh No! Error!

So i downloaded the update and then open the game.... "loading" followed by an error telling me to shut of the 3DS and take out the game, but everytime i restart i get the same mess, i tried on my bfs 3ds and still same thing. Ppl idk if its the game since some other ppl have the problem, and some say its cuz the game is hacked (but hacked games can update just fine) so anyone knows whats up? or have similar problem?

It might be because the game is hacked, since I haven't seen anyone else with normal games having this problem.

But my hacked town updated fine. Maybe the data is a bit corrupted but you can still get in the town?

If i get on my other 3ds that havent updated yet, then its all fine, but it comes when trying to update o___O idk, saw a few ppl with the error

Yeah, but only a digital copy on my old 3ds that i dont update D:

Someone on tumblr had this issue and apparently deleted the update and then their town was fine. I don't know if they had a digital or cartridge copy of the game though.

The game plays fine without the update on the 3ds D: but its when u try to update it on the start screen it refuses, like it dosent like something on your game so it wont update

Have you possibly tried updating directly from the eShop? Don't know how much of an impact the eShop might have, but I feel it would have a much cleaner install. You can always use the Repair button at bottom of New Leaf's eShop page and see if that helps too!
