I just noticed something weird about Australian release dates

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl: released on a Thursday
Pokemon Platinum: released on a Thursday
Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver: released on a Thursday
Pokemon Black and White: released on a Thursday
Nintendo 3DS: released on a Thusday

So in the UK and US, has there been some kind of pattern like this?

Release Dates in the UK couldn't be any more awesome for me.
They are all on Fridays
I am also off college every Friday.
It's awesome!

In the US it can vary between Sunday and Tuesday. This is at least from what I know.
