So i've heard about "tanning" season in animal crossing new leaf and that you can turn a few shades darker if during a specific season i think june-july? If you don't wear like accessories or hats for about 15 minutes but! I always wears accessories and hats! But just now i've logged in to see my character literally is like 3 shades and now i'm like nooooo because I never wanted my character to tan D; so not sure why she tanned when I never took my hat lol But either way, question is:

Is there a way to UN-tan your character after he/she has been tanned?

Keep a hat on your character or an umbrella. As each day passes, you should start paling /o/ (correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure it's a day by day thing).

That's the thing, i wear a hat haha which is why it puzzles me as to how i even got a tan to begin with.. but i'm gonna take up on that umbrella though because i do not want to get darker D:

Hmm, some hats don't keep you from tanning. Perhaps you didn't wear the right one? The link I provided is a list of tan-preventing hats /o\

Yeah I'm wearing an umbrella now (was already wearing shades which didn't help much) and changing my hat to my calvier hat (totally butched that) so hopefully that helps :< I'm pretty darn dark Lol i actually wanted to tan but not THIS much its so bad haha

But It just happened unexpectedly to me one day so i was surprised but I'm asian XD and quite frankly very yellow so i wanted my character to match my skin tone haha. Yellow-ish is better than white-ish, I'm like a milk flacon in the winter haha. I think I'll link to it in my sig when I've expanded it more. It's still on a very small-scale now but I try to make it bigger and better, thank you ^^

Haha i like my yellow skin XD it reminds me of bananas :3 haha milk falcon xD thats funny, yup i can't wait for it to become big scale i'll bet it would be very popular because good stories are hard to come by! Especially those with originality and a pinch of humor!

I always log in for only 10 minutes though so maybe that's the cause haha, have been quite busy lately.

I use the petal parasol, it looks pretty and it keeps off the sun! Didn't know hats could protect you from the sun in AC though, interesting

If the hat doesn't have a rim then you can still tan. It's simpler to stick to an umbrella
