Odd shadow swimming in river?!

There is a shadow swimming in my river that I've never seen before. I've been trying to reel it in for over 10 minutes lol. It looks like a frog shadow? Does anyone know what this is?! I cannot attach a screenshot

so THAT'S what that thing is! Is there an approximate time to wait before it surfaces? because I've watched those things forever and i've never seen it surface.

Not that I know of. They just surface randomly. Just ahve to be patient I think

yup its pretty random, luckily i got it close to the waters edge within a minute or so

they arent easy to catch, you have to be by the shore ehn the yhappen to surface there. i'm not sure they really completely surface, just changes from an undewrwater shadow to a black shape, the nturns and changes directions before it goes back underwater, that's your chance...
