I do agree that the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time is a pain
in the ass. That place was so frustating that I almost felt like not
touching for a while!

The Shadow Temple is definitely the scariest temple in OOT.
yea it was that Shadow Temple

Why am I so surprised people haven't played OoT despite myself not playing many classics of before my time.. like the original zelda, just couldn't do it at all...

My experience with Ocarina of Time (This was about 5 months ago):

*pops onto the WiiShop Channel*

*Has some extra cash*

"Hmm, Ocarina of time...I should probably play this...apparently it's amazing..."

*purchases*

*plays for 10, maybe 20 minutes*

*goes to eat dinner*

*hasn't touched the game since*
D: I died inside.

I've spent so much time with Ocarina of Time. I started playing the game in 2000 and I'm still here playing it in 2008. I've gone from casually playing it to "speedrunning" the game. There is just so many different ways to play this game, different routes to take, and different glitches to discover. I don't think any game will surpass OoT for me. It's just impossible when I think about it.

I think Majora's Mask is an underrated game which surpassed Ocarina and is still the best LoZ, but best ever? Highly doubtful. For a few betters, Resident Evil 4, Oddworld Stranger, Final Fantasy 7, Halo 3, Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door.

You sir, are my hero.

I think Majora's Mask was better than OoT.
Plus all of those games you listed I love.

it's one of the most important and significant games in recent history, there's no arguing with that.

yes, 10 or 11 years ago is still recent!!!

i also find it to be an extremely entertaining game, to which i've tied many personal memories from my own childhood.

my first EVERPLAYED GAME EVUH!!!!!!!!!!!!! when i was 4 =D good times GOOD TIMES!!!!!!!!

No it's not the best game ever. However it is the game with the best reception this is the game that everyone wanted to play back in 1998.

umm...its awesome...but im stuck...at the part wherwe u gotta get the carpenters from the gerudo place... where the *CENSORED* is the last guy?!! anyone wanna help??

I LOVED Ocarina of Time! Best Game Ever played on N64!

and Yeah, the water temple was a pain in the neck. :/

I LOVE all Zelda games.
The Legend of Zelda Series are awesome, especially Twilight Princess and Wind Waker.
I am not much of a fan of the older Zelda games.
But Orcania of Time is awesome!

It was the best game for its time, but it does not stand up todays titles.
Today's titles? If you are talking about Nintendo games, today is nothing in comparison to the old games. Today all you get is minigames, and horribly easy or boring little kid games. And I think thats where Nintendo went wrong, giving more attention to their new gamers, and leaving hardcore gamers in the dust. There are some exceptions, but still you can't beat the old games. Nintendo has not satisfied me lately, so I have strayed away from their games. I still will buy the big series games. But overall Nintendo has fallen way down for me. The only things I will buy from Nintendo are series that I have loved.

Anybody that starts attacking my for this, save your energy, its my opinion, and it should'nt matter to you.

wow, faller, you're so right. Nintendo did, at one time make quality games, sadly most of the stuff they have now is crap.

Because of all the praise it had, I bought Oot for the VC, but I think it was overrated. Sure, it's a good game, but not the best.
